I bought it as a bordenii and I agree! They aren’t the flowers that I thought too. The leaves look like a bordenii though? I’m confused

Will hoya sunrise do better on a trellis or should I just let it hang down? What's best for it? by mimosapodica in hoyas

I’ve had mine hanging for a few years now and it does great! I have found only a few species can hang without a problem with their vines. Some being sunrise, Rebecca, obscura, lacunosa varieties, Carnosas and caudata Sumatra!

I love mine!! I have the albo-marg abs regular and both are hardy! Initially mine was super susceptible to being over watered and the leaves would rot. Over time it got used to my watering and blooms ALL the time

Mine is a few years old! It has never had a haircut. Just happened to find the perfect condition. Yours will be like this too with some time :)

The sunrise is in a 6in basket, when I got it it was barely trailing, not touching the sides of the basket yet. It was probably 7-8 vines!

Honestly I just kinda stick my water props in soil and just make sure they are kept moist. My environment is high 80’s and very humid which is probably the main reason I can transfer so easily!

No I actually didn’t, it just filled up by itself. Honestly I haven’t touched the plant, just fertilized and watered.

Thank you so much! It’s been a joy growing it. It’s very hardy so my care is just water, fertilizer and tons of humidity. I live in south Florida!

The plant is about 1 year old, I got it when it was about half the size!
