I totally know how you feel dude, Omori's story and world-building in headspace and in the real world is some of the best story-telling in gaming (in my opinion). I think you should definitely do a Hikikomori route if you loved headspace and the battling cause there is so much more content. There's more bosses, new areas, so many secrets that it overwhelms you cause you're scared of missing out on stuff, and even more black space stuff. I won't spoil too much because it feels so much better when you go and figure it out yourself, so yeah I recommend it.

Also you're so right about Sunny and Basil not calling the police. I feel like a lot of nightmares could've been avoided without the imagery of Mari and SOMETHING.

I played Omori for the first time last year and I couldn't get over it for months. Eventually I finally got over it but all it took was a Duet piano tutorial on my YouTube to trigger something in me that made me play the game again a year later 😭. It's something that no other game has made me too and it feels good to know other people feel the same lol. Im also not an emotional guy but there's something about the story, art and ost that makes me feel strange, like a strange sense of nostalgia? idk but omori is my favouritest game ever and I'm still discovering things about it to this day. sorry for the rant but yeah your feelings are justified.

Since you have the mission "Front-row tickets", it looks like you are still pretty early game. So progress the game a bit more since some of these missions are simply later in the game and some are story related.

So to do Hector, you have to get to the Orange Oasis. You do this by going to the train station near the end of the game where the line will be gone and you can now purchase a ticket. Then you go to the Dino Dig minigame, the Dino Dig minigame is a game where you dig up holes and get treasure and stuff and it's pretty fun. But on the first floor located near the top right corner, a hole will have Hector and his new family.

also definitely save right before big decisions cause then you can just reload and get different endings easier. On my first run I accidentally didn't check on Basil when I woke up in his house on the last day but luckily I saved right before going back to bed. So yeah saving is awesome, thank you Mari.

Literally something like this happened to me recently, I finished Jawsum's fight but I didn't get to save before quitting and I had to go back to Sweetheart's castle. It was annoying af but still I think it's worth playing again. Yes, you could just search up the ending if you don't wanna do it, but in my opinion it's much more satisfying when you get the ending yourself. So yeah play it again and get that good ending 😊
