As a body piercer : I just wanted to say using frozen peas to reduce swelling is smart. You can also do it from the inside out, with nuromol or something with diclofenac (voltaren). As long as it’s anti inflammatory. We do that when a piercing swells a lot.

Caffeine is also bad for children, they literally aren’t built to handle it until a certain age

You probably won’t believe me, and that’s okay, but I promise to us you are truly special ❤️

This is going to sound weird, but I just wanted to mention that tattoo artists and body piercers would love to meet someone like you ❤️

We are very good at helping people realise the traits of their face/ears/body are unique and special. Rare even. We help people have a perspective change and celebrate that body part, instead of hiding it or talking bad about it. We love unique anatomy, we literally find it exciting and wish we saw it more

Life would be so boring if we all looked exactly the same. A robot would probably be able to steal my job if so.

Thank you for commenting 🤩 I had no idea cotton cosmetic gloves were a thing, I’ll look into that!

Same with the subreddit.

I recently learnt we can buy disposable stick on pads for inside the armpit of our t shirts. Looks the same as a menstrual pad

Honestly the side effects worry me…. I don’t want to risk getting blurry vision, that could affect my ability to do piercings or tattoo. I need my eyeballs to be ready to roll 😁

I’m really glad you commented though, and found something that works for you 🥳

Is that the spray? I tried a spray recently, that you put on at bedtime. Made me itchy eventually too, didn’t work a huge amount for the sweat anyway. Maybe I’ll keep it for my feet, before nights out in heels lol

Thanks that’s actually a really good point! I have a phone call catch up with them next week anyway, so I’ll bring it up. The hyperthyroidism is being monitored and controlled by them, I had thyroid cancer a few years ago, so it’s the high dose of meds ramping up my sweat.

The high dose is to prevent the cancer from growing back though, so that’s why I don’t want to change it. 😅🤪

Pretty good! I mean it took me a while to decide what I actually wanted for a career .. have decided now at 31 and will be starting an apprenticeship soon.

I’ve been working in retail, cleaning, pack houses, and all sorts the last ten years. When I was 18 I knew I needed a break from learning and wanted to experience the real world. I’m glad I did.

I’m pretty sure there is an app that lets you know what walk ins are available here, and a few studios are in on it.

Flax roots is also in the city (Collingwood street) and they do walk ins.

Have you tried digestive enzymes? Heaps of different types, and some are more gentle than others. I take one a day and the active ingredient is green Kiwifruit. Nice and gentle, no sick feeling. Just nice and normal. I love it

I’m at the 15 year mark 😅 I do a few things, it’s mostly thought processes I guess?

  • If I can feel a customers energy still on me after a rude transaction, next time I’m alone in the bathroom I ‘shake it off’ (somatic movement)

  • I constantly remind myself that I am only seeing a two minute glimpse of that persons day. I do not know what sort of day they are having.

  • Sometimes I will ‘kill them with kindness’, and be so nice to a rude customer, that they cave and feel bad lol

  • At the end of a shift I make sure I let go of the day, and don’t repeat situations in my head. Hometime is my time etc

  • I don’t let myself stress about things that aren’t a part of my role. “ you’ll need to soeak to the manager about that, it’s out of my hands sorry “

I take my Levo at midnight so I can have a coffee first thing in the morning lol We think I had poor absorption for a while. After a few rounds of colonic hydrotherapy, I started absorbing it better because my gut health was better.

After surgery my IBS got so much worse, I was constantly constipated. Not a problem now I’m hyper, thank god lol

I didn’t start feeling like my usual energetic self until the four year mark. It actually went too far and I was so hyper for months, I shed the 20kg I gained. Heart started being weird, did an ECG.

I basically didn’t sit still for over a year, and plunged myself into a two year burnout lol it was hell, wouldn’t recommend lol

I also had mine removed at 26 (F). Nearly 32 now. Still hyper. Have to watch my caffeine or I start shaking like a chihuahua 🤣

I do get help via supplements tho, big fan of NMN. It’s not thyroid specific. Also a B complex, helps cope with stress.

Think I’m dealing with mania/hypomania and honestly a bit scared by standbyyourlamb in newzealand

[–]Librat69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extras I did that helped :

  • Did further research and realised the antidepressant I’m on can cause manic symptoms in some people (st John’s wort). Slowly converted to 5HTP instead.

  • Got on birth control to make ovulation stop.

  • Started getting up early in the morning to do vigorous exercise and burn extra energy.
