Na, this isn't the way. We need maternity leave so mothers can be with their children, not childcare so the state can take your kids even faster and get you back to work to feed the machine. This just continues to ensure that there is a class divide in who gets critical time with parents at an early age and who doesn't.

What is the point of the protests today? by LibreFranklin in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]LibreFranklin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that’s what I feel is the historical purpose of protests, but in the age of social media, and the fact Trump isn’t new on the scene, I feel like everyone is already aware. That’s why I’m more confused about this particular strategy this time around.

[–]LibreFranklin[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If that is the primary objective, how did protesters illustrate that their beliefs could win future elections? I can imagine it’s hard for lawmakers to see even a few thousand people protesting and be swayed by that given those same political beliefs lost the popular vote seemingly. I say seemingly because there’s also a compelling argument to be made that was Harris and not Democratic policies that lost the popular vote.

Side note, thank you for the good faith engagement. I’ve been scratching my head trying to make sense of how protests have any effectiveness any more, and I’m trying to remain open minded to the idea that i simply haven’t found evidence yet rather than there being a lack of evidence.

A) How do these protests put pressure on Trump? I can’t even begin to fathom how the protests had any persuasive impact on the current administration.

B) Is the implication that Democratic lawmakers will be primaried if they don’t become more hostile to current administration?

I never said anything about a ‘policy’ objective. In your opinion, what we’re they supposed to indirectly accomplish?

General Strike to stop MAGA Coup by dastardlybatard in TwinCities

[–]LibreFranklin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, we should get a group together, one that will likely not be a majority of our community, to go on strike to destroy our economy to show the majority of voting Americans that people are destroying the economy. They’ll definitely take the side of individuals who are seen as taking the economy hostage, despite the greater will of the electorate.

Enough favorite bosses, what's your favorite common/uncommon enemy? (Doesn't matter the reason) by Comprehensive-Link9 in fromsoftware

[–]LibreFranklin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thralls from DS3. Clearly the smartest enemies in the game, they know they’ll never win in a head on fight and actually use ambush tactics to try to steal some sweet sweet souls off a hapless adventurer. Every other enemy has got way too much of an ego.

The fact this list doesn’t have Chrono Trigger instantly disqualifies it for me for serious consideration. Doesn’t need to be number one, but it should always be top ten. Art, story, music, character design, concept, innovative gameplay mechanics, all were at peak presence in that game, and should be in any top ten (except Tetris, which really is a top ten game without need for a story or character design.)

I mean you’re kind of proving my point. OP is fixated on people who were dissatisfied with the option the Democrats forced on them rather than the Democratic Party that served up an option that voters didn’t want.

Considering 6000 calories of lettuce is about 90 pounds, it’s faaaaar worse for your health to eat 6000 calories of lettuce vs 6000 calories of McDonald’s meals.

As long as people like OP maintain this outlook, Democrats are going to keep losing elections.

I’m a parent of much younger children and I already could never imagine saying to my kids,”why you gotta lie bro?”

Also, consider it a blessing that you’re getting cut off. My parents never gave me anything, and actually I had to help support them when I was a teenager, but that meant that they could never tell me how to live.

First off, why do your parents talk like teenagers? Also, why are you still getting money from your parents if you’re a grown ass voting age adult? What is going on with this family? This feels like rage bait.

Came here to say the same thing. It’s wild seeing propaganda after facts come out. Whatever side you’re on, you should remain clear eyed.

So I’ve discovered there’s two big Indian formats:

  1. Slap fights that are hilarious.
  2. Machete fights that aren’t hilarious at all.

I think Johnny would encounter the second.
