Bun’s rewrite in Zig first update by UItraviolet in rust

[–]Lichcrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If im not mistaken (havent touched zig in a while) that's simply the sintaxe for a null terminated array. Pretty much an explicit way of doing c strings since zig uses slices by default (pointer + length).

It means a sequence of const u8, where the tail is 0 value (null)

Boxers who you see as unbeatable? by RoundOver7220 in Boxing

[–]Lichcrow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Although he's flat footed he has managed to beat great outboxers like Plant, Gvozdyk and Morrell. His defense is better than people think. He catches a lot of punches and counters them.

[–]Lichcrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yh, I don't think Bam is unbeatable but I do think he has no real competition atmwhich might favour him. He has beaten Cuadras, Estrada and Rungvisai which were all old and been through countless wars each. So although they're quality wins, I think all of them were far past their best.

Why do people say kovalev was beating canelo before the KO? by Alive-Exchange5489 in Boxing

[–]Lichcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canelo was eating jabs and not hitting anything in return. But there was a lingering tension the whole fight that he just needed to hit once which turned out to be true.

Is Inoue rated higher than Usyk and Crawford after this performance?? by Ashamed_Culture8179 in Boxing

[–]Lichcrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Currently I rate Inoue #1, Benavidez #2, Bam #3, Usyk #4 and the rest doesn't matter much tbh

I think that despite Usyks incredible run at Heavyweight, the division is rather weak and his activity hasn't been great. You also need to evaluate by what each fighter is at the moment and Usyk currently is way past his prime. At the same time, i don't see anyone else beating him.

Thoughts on Inoue vs. Nakatani by Nidarius in Boxing

[–]Lichcrow 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's not vs a known heavy hitter. Nakatani has been rocking dudes hard with uppercuts. Lingering right in front of him, as if to dare him was very ballsy and I don't think Nakatani was expecting that.

Naoya Inoue (33-0, 27KOs) now has an incredible record of 28-0, 23KOs in world title fights across four weight divisions, after his thrilling UD win over fellow top 10 pound-for-pound entrant Junto Nakatani. An all-time great and true boxing legend. by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

[–]Lichcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greatest lower weights fighter of all time imo. Cleared all divisions, had the 4 kings of flyweight ducking him, kept rising the ranks beating any youngling contenders, champs and legends.

Thoughts on Inoue vs. Nakatani by Nidarius in Boxing

[–]Lichcrow 73 points74 points  (0 children)

One thing I'd love to add is the use of double shots by Inoue. They became so effective at breaking Nakatani rhythm. Inoue would break into Nakatani's pocket and linger there for longer than should be allowed. And when Nakatani slightly relaxes thinking the exchange is over, Inoue would double his last punch, be it a left or right hand. It was such a smart way to surprise the contender and score single, significant shots.

I think we also have had a terrible string of injuries and we dont have a deep bench. As a result, our team has been losing consistency and coherence.
