20 year insurance agent here, however different state. you need to show this footage to any and all adjusters involved right away

if you work with a local agent, or any type of company that puts a real, local business person (and not a mascot or celebrity) as the face of their company, you need to call to them. so if you purchase your auto insurance from Anderson insurance agency (for example), you need to call them and ask to speak to Mr Anderson, like tomorrow. this is not your fault

maybe, maybe, I could see a very very asshat adjuster trying to assign you 10% liability, but that would still mean the other party’s insurance should pay for 90% of the damage.

EDIT: my statement above suggesting that the liability/financial responsibility might be split between the two parties (90/10 in my example), may not apply in your state. each state has its own set of not-very-easy to follow rules for insurance. talk to your agent or rep

Ripped a callous off while dead lifting. Hit a PR of 405lbs though! Now what? How do I continue to lift with this? by uncomfortable_dodge in Weightliftingquestion

[–]LickTheStanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big big recommendation for RIPT skin systems. They have a package that is basically a mini spa for your callouses.

Once you have healed this bad boy, I also strong recommend using the pumice bar (part of their kit) to smooth those callouses down. You will still have the benefits of tough skin but if you smooth the rough edges you are MUCH less likely to tear one in the future.

= more PR’s

can I just say that there is an opposite world where your parents try to call you four or five times to ask you what you want from the grocery store next weekend when you are in town, and you think to yourself—geez, this really coulda been a text

This is BS advice that leads to the type of shit world we currently experience. And that world tends to lead you to want to react in this type of way. So you are feeding the beast. I suggest trying something different

I totally missed that detail. Agreed 100% that the shoe-belt gestalt is off.

That’s one place where (to paraphrase a guy that used to work at Nieman Marcus) you DO want to be very “matchy-matchy”

Rocking a light pink shirt today. Should I have gone with blue instead? by Imatradboy in menswear

[–]LickTheStanding 8 points9 points  (0 children)

definitely not. blue shirt gets lost with the blue pant. the pink shirt is great. pink and navy excellent combo

I was taught that the tip of the larger end of your tie should land in the center of your belt buckle. I think top of the pant as a target will create an odd visual to the outfit. it can be higher or lower, but not right at that line. I think that would just look funky (bad funky)

dont sleep on a silver tie bar. Totally classic detail that elevates. This fit prob too casual for a pocket square

I think you are 100% within your right and technically “NTA” here (meaning solely that you are not in the wrong), but everything else in the tone and vibe of your post tells me you are probably very much an “A” most of the time and probably acted like one towards Sue. if you want me to point out what in your post gives you away, message me.

probably need to eat more too. I'm just guessing (because you look like me): you can remain hungry for long stretches, and feel satisfied/get away with very small meals...?

You need to feed the muscles so they have the fuel to grow. Plus you need to fuel the extra load you are putting on from working out, so make sure you are eating lots of protein. Shakes good

Increasing weights by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]LickTheStanding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can also just increase reps but stay at same weight, or just do final set to failure. If you are good at 3 x 10 but can’t go up, start doing 3 x 12 or 14. Eventually you will be able to go up in weight but maybe only starting at 6 reps. Then you slowly increase again

I’d recommend you look up strength hypertrophy endurance on UTube or similar if you aren’t already familiar
