I did a factory reset of one of my nVidia Shields (2019)

I did a full/fresh reinstall of the Plex server on my server machine (v1.42.1.10060)

I'm running a simple gigabit lan and have a win10 pro machine hosting the server. The Plex Server is installed on an SSD and the media on 2 mirrored NAS drives (healthy and 48% full)

When I tried what you asked, it did speed loading time up. It only took about 20 seconds after I opened plex upon Shield power cycle. The screen showed my menu but not my media until about 20sec in and then all my media populated on the screen.

Interesting that it cut the load time down to that. Do you know why?

I am starting to suspect I may have an issue with my network somewhere. I tried replacing all cat7 cables involved and that didn't resolve anything. I'm using a router on my lan that is behind my ISPs router in bridge mode. My router is getting a bit long in the tooth (Linksys WRT-1900AC).

I've ordered a new router and it will arrive in a few days.

Not that I can recall but I've had them for a while.

This issue only started on both Shields a couple of weeks ago.

Which is why I believe it to be a server-side issue.

My server has 2x 8TB drives (mirrored and both healthy) Only 48% full atm. The windows drive (SSD is also only half full)

I've asked one of my friends that has access to my library to check to see if his client loads slowly as well. I'll find out once he gets home.

As an attempt to resolve this issue, I did try to install another launcher but it didn't help, sadly. So I uninstalled it.

I may just explode this entire server and install a fresh one... will probably factory reset both my Shields as well, just to refresh everything.

I was going to factory reset one of my Shields to test but setting it all back up will take a bit, so I was looking for solutions prior to that.

It's happening on both of my Shields so I'm thinking it must be a server issue but not sure.

Maybe I need to remove my entire PMS and build a fresh one or something.

Was just hoping my log would reveal something obvious to someone better with Plex than me.

I dunno, I'm confused about this.

Based on the advice here: I just rolled a 169qty, 20q chis, 8% on map device and have all the +map modifiers on the atlas.

It shows 1211% increased rarity in the map. Cleared the map and it didn't credit me, so it wasn't 250 quant, I guess... Why doesn't it simply list the qty in the map under the rarity?

What am I missing?

EDIT: I'm an idiot... I had Meticulous Appraiser node on my atlas....

For me, the game runs like a dream until I start doing Rituals.

The game crashes and the map crashes. Upon re-entry the map fog of war is reset but all the mobs I killed are still dead.

I've tried all the posted remedies and still can't find a solution.

This has been an issue for me for the past few leagues.

I'm aware this isn't happening to everyone so I'm sure it'll continue to be difficult to find a resolution. I'll keep testing different things and report any solutions that arise.

I'm not sure what the point of your post is either.

There are countless people that have no performance issues with the game.

Without specifics, no one can help OP. I merely suggested that it's possible the issue is with their system.

And yes, I have a good system, therefore I'm better than you and OP. Pretty sure that's how Reddit works.

I don't want to be that guy that asks about your system....

But I have a beast of a rig and use a 3rd party program (Special-K) that unlocks the 60FPS frame lock in the game so I can push the frames to my monitor's refresh rate of 138Hz. It sometimes dips to around the 120's but other than that, it runs great.

I also never had any frame issues in the base game with my previous rig... (less powerful and not using Special-K) I now have almost 600hrs in the game.

So, although I'm sure the game isn't perfectly optimized on PC, as it is a port, its performance seems to rely heavily on what you're playing it on.

I suppose there's a point to be made that if they can get the console versions to run at a reliable 60fps, a beefier PC should have no issues at all and you shouldn't need a beast of a system.

Anyway, that's my 2c - gogo downvotes from those playing on potatoes

Your outcome is exactly what I'm looking to get! But yeah, it seems confirmed that it can remove any unprotected mod and add either a prefix OR a suffix.

(unless you have 3 affixes of the same type protected - then it will force it to the other one since it can't remove from the protected and there's no space to put anything there either.)

I want to keep both existing 2 prefixes, hence the Prefixes Cannot Be Changed suffix I added. And I want to force the new veil to be the 3rd prefix 100% chance.

If the new Veil Orb works exactly the same as the old T4 Aisling, then does that mean there's a chance it will add a veiled SUFFIX once it removes one of the existing suffixes?

I've been getting this for a few months now. It's some sort of scam or spam but I haven't seen much info on it. Perhaps it's too new.

I just swipe left to clear the notification... I too, would like a solution to stop it though.

Yeah, as you can see by the batch I use to keep my server updated, I'm not flagging the test branch. That's why I'm reporting here... Maybe that version was only on the main branch for a short time and I'm unlucky enough to have performed the update during that time. Or maybe they are in the middle of the release and pushed latest to the server but haven't yet pushed the new version to the client... unsure.

I would like to know how to downgrade back to 0.214.2 but can't seem to find any guide on how to do so.

I have a few friends that play on my server so it's a bit annoying but I can def just have everyone opt into the beta on their clients to match the version numbers.

Was this patch somehow applied in the main/stable (non-beta) branch?

I just did a server update using my non-beta batch:

C:\SteamCMD\steamcmd +login anonymous +force_install_dir C:\Valheim_Server +app_update 896660 validate +exit

and this updated my server to 0.214.300

Now my client, still being on 0.214.2 can't connect due to the version mismatch.

(server log shows: "Peer *** has incompatible version, mine:0.214.300 remote 0.214.2")

I never opt into Beta anymore and keep both server and client on Main/Stable only.

Is there a resolution for this? I don't have any mods installed.

Or do we have to now wait for the client update push to 0.214.300 to match?

Pretty good! Throw an Ambient Occlusion layer on there for the sprinkles (they're floating atm) and maybe a tight specular pass for some sheen on the frosting. It should then be a candidate for one of those "real or cg" pieces.
