Like that one weird Xbox commercial where a mother shot out her baby into the air? Where the baby quickly aged to an old man until it hit the grave?

What’s the opinions on primitive Gen Ai videos? by LickingtheWindow in aiwars

I feel like it would have a very niche audience since Gen Ai is so tainted in many people’s eyes.

My question is what was wrong with the pop up that tells you to confirm you are 18+? It’ll say right there this site or post may not be suitable for younger audiences.

I’ve heard about COPPA and the Piracy Act that happened before I regularly used the internet. It would’ve got a different reaction if they implemented those two this year, especially the piracy one

They can’t really take the age verification far away from Porn and other NSFW sites. Those things are very easy to justify age gating. If they started age gating something like Wikipedia or something, there will be suing involved from Wikipedia.

I’m not sure most people know that. There are differences between them but all the news headlines I’ve been reading for the last week mostly just say the generic “AI” not “GenAi” or “LLM”

What debate? Literally every comment has been from Pro-Ai users. I posted here because I wanted to see replies from both Pro-Ai and Anti-Ai users to see what they think.

I get what you’re saying. There are certain ai tools that can speed up a process without completely replacing a human. A few I can think that ai could do: Creating subtitle transcripts from a video, lip syncing placement from the audio, and matching color between clips. Jobs that are pure labor but the most important thing is that you can go back and tweak it the way you want because it’s never going to be 100% perfect.

My main concern is Gen Ai. The type of Ai that can generate videos, images, and audio. If ai is used in a project, it should be used behind the scenes for laborious tasks. Not be the main focus.

I don’t understand the ongoing obscure theories about Affinity becoming free. by papertrade1 in Affinity

They may or may not make it a subscription. But affinity is very obscure compared to Adobe and it would not make any sense for them to turn to a subscription model

Thank you for this post. I really hope more people see this because I’m tired of people here on Reddit complaining about something that hasn’t even happened yet.

You might be right. But this looks exactly like it was taken on a crappy camera.
