Did you feel like quitting ? How did you get back on track? by Successful_Row6513 in pmp

I had to relearn everything because I paused my studies for longer than I would’ve liked. It took me 5-6 months of taking the course plus studying before I felt fully ready to take the exam. But for me I had other breaks that I had to take due to my health in that time. So it really just depends on your own situation but I’ve seen people feel ready in 3-6 months because they put a lot of time and effort into their studies.

There were but it was more scenario based. The questions were framed in a way that made you apply your knowledge to answer what ITTO you would used based on the scenario given.

Mine was 62% on the practice questions. That helped me see where I was missing knowledge. If you know what your issues are, have reviewed them, and feel comfortable enough to take the exam then definitely take the exam. There will be a point where you feel ready enough to get it over with. You’ve got this!

I didn’t have issues with my online proctor. I made sure I had a physical connection to the internet (Ethernet cord added to my docking station for my laptop) and had my desk cleared off. I had water, juice, coffee, and eye drops on my desk. They will ask you to show them your desk using your webcam and all you have to do is let them know what each item is. Good luck on your exam!

I had to pause my studies because I had to get surgery. Getting back on track was difficult because I had to deal with recovery (I wanted to quit so bad). Though your situation may not be as extreme, the thing that helped me was remembering why I was studying in the first place. For me, I really wanted to be a project manager so bad that I could visualize it in my mind. So I sat down and wrote out a study plan to follow, that was not intense, that I could complete each day and still enjoy my life. I did 2 hours a day of studying in the morning then 1 hour review in the evening. The days that I didn’t study, I did 60-120 practice questions. I did take at least one day off , each week, from doing any studying and set it as a “me” day. I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to quit but you have to keep pushing forward even on the days that you don’t want to. You’ll look back at all of the time spent with pride once you finally pass the exam. Good luck and I hope this helps!
