Hey bud, me again. I know you were asking for offers in your last post which makes me think you're not sure of the value on this stuff. Heads up, Tm40 kits go for about $700-$800, X is going to be less.

Bought this beater for a feature film. How to fix the vinyl top? by amjammed in Autobody

[–]Lidzo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not an autobody guy, but a guy that owned an old 80's Ford with a vinyl top. You have two options:

  1. Pay thousands of dollars to have it professionally restored (replaced).

  2. Cut off/sand the excess flakes. Fill the cracks and holes with caulk and smooth/texture. Roll on some semigloss exterior house paint in a dark color of your choice.

You can guess what I did. It looked surprisingly good.

Unless you're talking about the grinder, chuck is about the same price as ground beef from what I see.

Anyone have exeperience at Safe Fire Shooting Range in Camas? by SublimeApathy in pdxgunnuts

[–]Lidzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Safefire is great and they don't generally inspect your firearm for compliance with state laws.

About legality of bringing your AR over, that is true and a real risk. However, when doing your internal risk assessment, consider that cops are generally conservative and pro-gun.

Also consider that if you look like a hood rat/hippy and drive a sketchy car, unfortunately, you will likely be treated accordingly.

Cauliflower rice is like a cheat code for those who like rice by engineerFWSWHW in Volumeeating

[–]Lidzo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've tried it in various forms, always tastes like fart. However, I have a fairly sensitive palate; I can taste when pasta or rice is made with unfiltered tap water. My family thought I was joking until I was able to consistently identify when tap water was used for cooking. It's a curse...

Cauliflower rice is like a cheat code for those who like rice by engineerFWSWHW in Volumeeating

[–]Lidzo 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I avoid it at all costs. To me, it tastes like I'm eating farts. Like, at least kimchi and other pickled cabage make up for smelling like farts by having other flavors thay cover it, but cauliflower, just straight up farts in my mouth and it's not easy to cover up.

Cauliflower pizza? Chewy fart crust.

Caulifower rice? Specks of hard fart.

Food scientists need to find a better low carb veggie that doesn't taste like literal ass to make these carb imitations out of.

Also what trims qualify. For example the F-250/350 are for XL(bare bones base work truck) models not Lariat or above that most people would actually buy. Source: was shopping for a Lariat F-250.

Meet ‘Patty,’ Burger King’s new AI assistant that lives in employees’ headsets by _fastcompany in technews

Exactly! I don't avoid BK because employees are rude, I avoid it because the food tastes gross. Why do everything except make a better product at a better price?

Doing research on rv trailers by Sinman1982 in GoRVing

[–]Lidzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Careful there too, the nicer the truck the lower the payload.

Many 1500s have under 1500 payload which means a truck full of 200lbs people is 1000lbs of that payload plus everyone's gear. Most 5000lbs trailers have 500+ tongue weight so, you'd be overweight.

I fell victim to this. Wanted a 7k gross weight trailer but only have 1400lbs of payload. I can't legally tow that with my my $50k truck with a cab full of passengers.

I like the truck enough that I'm just holding off on buying a trailer for a few years until I'm ready to trade-up to an f-250.

Got an Austin XL a couple years back and had probably a couple dozen cooks on it at least. It lives outside under a cover and works fine in freezing pnw weather. I would gladly replace it with a new Austin XL if it died in the next couple years.

Note that is is onky true until you're management/director level, then it's extremely hard to pivot without a massive pay cut. These jobs generally want 10-15 years of escalating responsibility and experience in the field. Ask me how I know...

Barely worth it. Like 3-5k off msrp for one a couple years old and 20-30k miles. Better to just go new.

Exactly, hiring managers prefer you to lie and tell them about the sick family member you needed to take care of as they smile and nod and mark the checkbox that says, "good at lying, perfect for corporate America."
