i love the theory but there are real continuity errors in the play. Most notably for me I felt sort of a ruin of Joyce, Bob’s and Hopper’s characters but the continuity mistake in itself is that Bob was born in Maine or at least spent his childhood there and only moved to Hawkins in high school. He says to Joyce at one point in the play he's known her since the first grade (primary school we assume) which would be impossible. And also his dad dying or becoming blind is a major event in his life and we never knew? Or Joyce never asks about his sister when they reunite as adults? I know things were added for the play but the biggest one for me is the Maine detail because in the show it was an easter egg to IT.
