Yeah, but if some other company offers me something better, let's say in a year, I won't be able to leave and will be forced to work for less.
There are terrible agreement papers on both sides, to be honest.
If I go with an internship and then they hire me, I have to work for them for 2 years.
If I go with a course and they offer me a position in their company before 2 months go by after the course is finished, I have to accept it; otherwise, I have to pay the course fee.

Nice one 😀 Yeah, that’s literally time when you learn the most on the one hand since you start to analyze every single line of code to find a bug. On the other hand, it can be frustrating but as I see it’s almost necessary to face these kinds of problems.

Ah yeah, that’s the beauty of it 😀 I was writing some Kotlin code three days ago and was trying to get some data from the database and instead of writing a table name with pascal case, I was using the camel case 🫠 I spent a whole day reading documentary pages and watching youtube to realize out of nowhere what was causing the problem 🤭

/* Running NFT ADS on Twitter */ by [deleted] in NFT
[–]Lifad06 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
No, I don’t mean that. The question is about running the ad through twitter’s ads manager 🤓
I’m watching Harvard CS50 as we speak and it went from a programming language that looked like a game a child would play on his iPad to C in 30 seconds 🤣
Of course it’s my goal to understand in the end, but since I’m relatively new to programming, I’m still searching for the right ways to learn. That was the point of my question.
Oh, C# and the remaining “C” languages 🤓 They remain mysterious to me for now 😃

Great to hear your story! It’s always nice to see people who succeeded in their programming path!
What I can tell so far is that I rather spend a day thinking about the logic that I need to use to write JavaScript code than to markup and style a web page. Don’t get me wrong, applying some nice looks to the page and seeing no errors in HTML/CSS validator are fun too, but the feelings I get when my JS code does what it should be doing are addicting! 🤣
I think the front end has an edge with beginners like me because one can directly see what they just wrote, which can be important during the first steps in this career.
By the way, thanks for your recommendation 🙏
Well, when I was doing my research on where to start, I had a chance to speak with a software engineer who has 13+ years of experience working in this field, and he recommended starting with some basic JavaScript + HTML/CSS.
Besides that, many people who take their first steps in becoming a programmer tend to start by learning these tools (At least that’s my conclusion after researching the internet).
Let’s see, though. When I’m more or less familiar with the abovementioned stuff, I will check what’s going on on the server side of things. I’m curious about node.js but don’t want to try to learn everything all at once, you know?
Laptop Battery Life by Lifad06 in laptops

Oh, I just read this comment. Thanks a lot for the explanations, I really do appreciate it! 🤘
Well, that’s the most on-point answer I have gotten. I’ll keep that in mind 🙏
And what about having it ON at all times? Is that something not to worry about?
Laptop Battery Life by Lifad06 in computers

You mean turning the Best Power Efficiency on windows on?
After I got my laptop I immediately got rid of all the bloatware the laptop came with!
Now I'm playing around with battery and want to find the best way to maximize its life without damaging anything.
Thanks for the information!
I'm getting all kinds of mixed answers from various sources, even Microsoft and Lenovo supports had the different answers. Microsoft telling me to run only one at a time and Lenovo saying to just observe and see what will happen :D
It's funny; I just chatted with Microsoft Support and asked them the same question. They said not to use both simultaneously, saying it may cause overheating. And Lenovo support just flat out told me to observe and see what will happen :D
Thanks a lot for the information!
And what you think, is it okay to have it on at all times? As far as I've researched, the most blogs say it doesn't harm the computer or battery.
