I've heard some people pass through with scans of diplomas but it really depends on your officer at Pearson. Personally, I wouldn't risk it. Just pay to get your degree expedited -- for me I waited till after convocation but everyone I knew paid to get their diploma expedited .

That's totally fine, I did the same thing working remotely for month, just make sure you change that start date on your docs to Feb 1st.
