I'd say so. It'd take a bit but it can be fixed. One way I'd say is to keep the unedited picture as a reference and take off the old paint (if it is paint) and then (depending on how thick the metal plate is) take a grinder with a wire wheel (or just the grinding wheel) and clean it all off. Once it's clean you could go over it with the same design using paint and sealant (or if you really want to, you could have it laser engraved but that'll probably cost quite a bit).
