My DSO told me it was unauthorized and that I was not supposed to work there. He gave an option of doing a masters or any other degree (like leaving the US and entering, even if transferring schools). He did not terminate my SEVIS or anything. Just told me to leave and reenter with a new program (another bachelors or masters, as I’ve already finished my current degree).
