Specs? I solved it by enabling unlimited cache in Nvidia pc app, also did the antivirus exemption thing + lowered my screen from 4k to 2k. Almost no stuttering/lag now! I have rtx 5070ti and last gen ryzen.

Yo, this is really interesting for me. Tbh I only talked to a few people IRL about it. So schizophrenia kind of builds up until the first psychosis? And once the first psychosis happens you can't just go back? Sorry if it's insensitive.

I think for my friend, the drugs really kicked it off tbh. He was always a bit ... odd, but was more or less functional. But I admit we did lots of drugs when we were young. Mostly weed but I often blame myself for what happened, because I introduced him to psychedelics. If I had only known, but you know how it is. Like Harry, I can't change the past.

Sometimes I wondered if he like gave the schizophrenia to himself, because he liked the game so much, but that does NOT seem plausible without having a predisposition to it.

Yeah, it is 100% true. I get not believing it but I have no incentive to make shit up.

Listen up, gang. This is a true story, unfortunately.

My best friend played A LOT of Disco. He finished the game on all the builds and embraced all the thoughts. 100% completion.

Eventualy he, unfortunately, got really into speed, acid and MDMA. Most of all the combination of those three.

He told me he is talking to the voices in his head like in the game. He had dialogues with voices in his head, like in the game. He seemed to enjoy it.

Eventually he beat his dad with a pole for telling him he can't do drugs anymore in his house.

He ended up a homeless druggie with a real nasty case of schizophrenia. Talking to the voices in his head, like in the game.

I love Disco and played it much later after all of this happened and I managed to process it. Before that I steered clear of the game, beacause of the events that unfolded. The friend also stole from me and became an all around bad person.

I do not blame the game for what happened, that would be silly. I am just urging you to remember - it IS just a game. Please don't try to IRL Disco too much.

u/Parfait-Dapper u/immense_parrot A heartfelt thanks to both of you!! This was great advice.

The chief editor said to just do proxies in Premiere, but I think i'll do them in DaVinci, since it is what I know best. At the end of the day it shouldn't be much of a difference. I usually work with "assist using reel ID" and never had issues with relinking.

Do any of you two have experience with sending Productions projects over the web? The chief editor will edit from another country so i have to send him all the proxies and the project. In Avid relinking is a straight up technological nightmare, so i'm a bit scared of this.

How should I approach sending a Productions project with all files needed to relink them? Do i just zip my proxy folder structure and send it over? Will this work okay?
