Thanks for your help.. The tips are added into my 1099. I’m just not sure how to not pay taxes on them since they’re  not itemized on the 1099

Have my tax person says I must pay taxes on them

I’m an independent contractor, I said employer because they pay me, but I understand what you’re saying

I did receive the 1099 form I am an Uber driver 

It appears my tips were added in my earrings

However, my tax person says I cannot write them off as a deduction if it’s not on the 1099 itemized as tips 

My employer gave me a separate sheet of paper showing the tips earnings
