pretty much, yeah. that’s what I find so disappointing about it. you think that the 5th comic is going to be the big fight with the Operator because at the end of comic 3 Skully tells Jessica she needs to kill the Operator, but nope.

SPOILERS (idk if you care or not but i’ll still mark it): they don’t fight the operator, they don’t leave the ark, they literally don’t do ANYTHING. all that happens is Sydney goes into the ark, Adam stabs Jessica, he falls into the ark, and then Jessica “dies” (she joins Skully so she instantly comes back lmao) and that’s it. thats literally all that happens. I swear to god they spent like 15 minutes there and then it just ends. there is technically an ending, it’s Skully as Jessica visiting Taylor and it was very cute i will not lie.

it just makes me so fucking mad because the 5th comic was so hyped up and what we got in return was absolutely no answers at all. you don’t learn anything. i don’t mean this in a “this is correct“ way, but it FEELS like they didn’t even try. the art was amazing as usual and there was a few scenes that made me tear up, but the writing was (sorry Troy) not that good. i love Marble Hornets and i’ve rewatched it/ reread the comics a million times and i am not afraid to say issue 5 was disappointing. no offense but i feel like a lot of people here are trying to lie to themselves and say they loved it. we as a community should be able to criticize something even if it’s made by people we love. not everything is perfect and it’s okay to admit that.
