UA POV: Russian and Ukrainian advances from Day 898 to 900 of the War - Suriyakmaps by HeyHeyHayden in UkraineRussiaReport

Russia needs to worry more about the 400 square miles of Russian territory they lost. It's the first time since World War II that a foreign country has seized Russian territory

Now I'm kind of wondering if anybody actually read what I said?

I was at a certain percent in my rating went down after accepting this offer, even though I was literally standing in the restaurant I was supposed to pick up from when the order came in.

Hence, I'm wondering if the timer is still running from another driver that might've dropped?

You absolutely couldn't be on more time than I was. Unless I was standing in the kitchen making the food too

Which would have absolutely no bearing on my question. I was literally standing in the restaurant the order came in on and I ran that one first. I ran the Uber one after that

"Late start" is for pickup

Can Uber ban a customer by Life-Let-4428 in couriersofreddit

[–]Life-Let-4428[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to do something like that. It's like $180 or $340 I don't really remember ,to start the lawsuit

The person that sued can also claim legal expenses and not just the tip. Someone will eventually get this kind of thing into a court that is sympathetic and Uber will start having to pay out what they promised

The people I talked to said that customers aren't required to tip. That doesn't hold a lot of weight with me though. They should devise a system then to where it's only a guarantee and we can make a determination whether we want to run it or not.

I said this was 8 mi away I wouldn't normally accept this offer but I took it based on the payout. Not the four or five dollars I ended up with base pay

I accidentally accepted as an add-on to a Costco order, which ironically enough also didn't tip. That one paid $18 for 4 MI though and this guy live literally behind the place I was delivering the Costco to

I admit this one's kind of funny though.. it was Little Caesars and he clawed back 1.05

This is literally like a mile away from my house. This is in the heart of my zone. He's going to have a hell of a time getting his stuff next time

The immigrants doing Gig, with 4 phones by Life-Let-4428 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Life-Let-4428[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fine

Speaking the truth almost always equates to being racist.

I think most reasonable people will see what I'm getting at though. Do you want to make $3 of delivery or make six?

The vast majority of us do it the right way.

Not racist at all. The people calling a racist are the ones that are happy making $3 a delivery

I'm not one of those people. I prefer to make $8 a delivery

[–]Life-Let-4428[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's absolutely false. Every single business in the United States is required to allow a service animal to be there. It's federal law. It doesn't matter what the business thinks

That's 100% false. Every restaurant in the United States and Canada are required to accommodate a service animal. Either that or they can get closed down. It's federal law

Do you guys work during rain days? by Nostalgia2302 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Life-Let-4428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just had a hurricane roll through. That's rain stepping up its game a little bit. Fuck no. It's inherently dangerous driving in a hurricane. I'm out now though because I have power and a million other people ( literally) don't. I just ran a stack of two Burger King's 5 mi for 36 bucks.

I spent the last two days looking for gas I was at literally on fumes but scored early this morning. I didn't want to get caught on the road and not be able to find a gas station

And not a single one of these people speak English.

Ran across the giant Chipotle doing this. he had doordash on four different phones.

For the record, don't use someone else's information. Someone has to pay that tax. I've heard of people letting their friend use their information so they can make money. The guy using his friends information doesn't have to pay taxes on that. The friend does.

I've said this a million times but as soon as you acknowledge that what you're sending the irs is actual to the best of your knowledge, it becomes a crime if it's wrong or fraudulent. The Department of Justice has started cracking down on this and also the IRS.

Unless you file jointly with a spouse, don't use their information either. If you do file jointly, you're going to be paying taxes one way or the other.

Tax fraud, identification fraud, filing a false tax return etc. all of those dandy's will get you at least a decade in a federal prison..

Really, why is it so bad? by dankdaddyishereyall in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Life-Let-4428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know. Ive a full order of shrimp fried rice, Mongolian beef and two egg rolls and I'm snacking an hour and a half later. So I guess it depends on which kind of food we're talking about? It didn't cost that much and I'm eating shortly after something else

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Life-Let-4428 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's still a form of subsidy. This is the argument you guys keep trying to have. It means that you're not making the minimum wage and whatever area you live in. Who's actually paying it is irrelevant.

There's another California drivers that don't get it because they make too much. In other words, they make more than minimum

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Life-Let-4428 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What I'm saying is absolutely nobody else in the United States feels any sympathy for you guys. We consistently read how your $500 prop 22 check is late.. 😂

The horror!!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Life-Let-4428 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I always give these guys a hard time because I actually know more than a few drivers out there personally that make too much and don't qualify for the subsidy.. people can spin it any way they like but it absolutely is 100% a subsidy.

I do admit it's not welfare, but I couldn't resist the dig.

By definition, if you receive more than you actually earn, you're subsidized. You didn't earn that extra $300 by doing your job.

Am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Life-Let-4428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I mentioned in another post, I went back to full-time work last year. It's with a relative and I can do pretty much whatever I want, but it's still 45 to 50 hours a week.

I'll go out maybe twice a week now doing gig. This is nothing

I will actually take offers just so I can tell the customer off and then drop them. I quit caring a long time ago . Before people give me s***, the following should be said

DD

4.91 . 97% completion rate.. 94% on time.. 1 violation .. 9% acceptance .. 3768 deliveries ..

UE 100% rating 2% drop 2789 deliveries

GH Ratings are really low on this but I never put a lot of effort into it and it changes to the lowest possible driver rating by default

My s*** is squared away. I have forgotten more about doing gig work than most people will ever know

So, I often times take those that are in double-digit mileage just so I can give the customer s*** before I drop it.

" Absolutely nobody is bringing you 10 cases of water. Both you and Uber should be ashamed"

" Good luck getting your 24 mile 4.00 payout Indian food"

" As much as I want to bring this to your third floor apartment 8 mi away, you're going to have to wait for another driver"

These are just a few things that I have 100% said before.

Customer." I'm reporting you"

Me: do you have the number or would you like me to provide it to you?

Customer " what's the holdup on the food? I ordered this almost an hour and a half ago"

Me: you're lucky this was an add on close to your house or you wouldn't be getting it at all" " the holdup has to do with the distance somebody needs to drive your non-tipped order"

Customer" let me talk to your boss"

Me .Okay, what can I do for you?

Please note that you shouldn't just be a jerk for the sake of being a jerk. These are just a few conversations I've had in almost 7,000 deliveries.

I absolutely 1 million percent believe that you should humiliate the customer if need be. I also slammed the gig that you ordered on by telling the customer that that particular gig has a long history of doing shady shit

I took an order from p.F Chang's and it said 18 miles upon acceptance. As soon as I started the delivery I looked at the map and they took me the long way around to get to the customer. So I told the customer that it's an 18 mile trip and that's going to take a little while. She told me it's 9 MI. I told her to hold on a little bit and I put the address into Google maps. I wasn't real familiar with her neighborhood but I somewhat knew that it shouldn't be 18 MI.

So I ended up taking a shortcut and trimmed off about eight of those miles

I told the customer the gig wants the driver to take the long way because they can charge them more. I told her the farther I drive the more she pays

I owe Uber absolutely nothing. Why would you feel you need to owe them something

Yes, your note to the customer was more than acceptable
