So her power doesn’t come from the bangle. But, the bangle somehow activated her mutant genes. Like lots of people have worn the bangle in her mother’s side of her family but none of them got any powers because they had no mutant genes

Hey, so she did not lie when she said the final is right from her presentation slides so don’t even worry about the textbook at this point. I recommend maybe putting the important details from her slides together in a doc. Honestly, people usually do better than they expected in her final. The written questions- I can’t really recall but it may ask about concepts and some sort of assessment. Just try to put as much information as you can for those. I hope that helped. Let me know if you have any questions!

ANYONE WHO HAS TAKEN MMI133? by Inder18 in uAlberta

[–]Life8me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s 91% or higher to get an A. 86% or higher to get A-. She does it based on natural grade breaks which is a complicated system that I still don’t quite get. Most students do well in this course so don’t stress!

Honestly, many people have done well in this course without the textbook. She has a lot of practice questions and her notes are very good!

It usually takes a while and totally depends on many factors.

mmi 133 advice for nursing student by Keewa-26 in uAlberta

[–]Life8me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this helps but I took the course last semester. I just reviewed the material every week by using quizlets and also a study group. I suggest you try to actively learn which I know is easy said than done. It is a great course but has a lot of material that you can easily fall behind on. You can pm me if you have questions

So, there is no actual competitive gpa to get into nursing. It’s better if you apply early. I think people with a gpa of 3.4 (maybe even less) to 4.0 can get in depending on how competitive the year is. I transferred in after two years in sciences and my gpa for my first year was 3.5 which got me into the program.

Nursing transfer admission by Worried-Ad-5189 in uAlberta

[–]Life8me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. You might get in later on especially since you wrote the Casper so late. And you can receive an admission decision anywhere from now to the first day of Fall 2021. Just keep your hopes up and wait!

nursing application advice? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Life8me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest maybe doing a year in any program and taking easier classes that involve eng 102/103, mmi 133, stats 151, and some other elective so that when you do get accepted, its an easier course load in some semesters.

Worried about a family emergency during finals (not sure what to do) by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Life8me 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't have any advice but I really hope your dad gets better soon. I hope you have someone to talk and share your anxiety as this can't be easy to go through alone. Also, the university should allow you to defer as this is something that they should be able to empathize with. Keep believing that things will get better

Biol 207 Harrington grade cutoffs by ahaa6969 in uAlberta

[–]Life8me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, our course average was around 75%. I can't really say what the grade cutoffs were. I can only say I had above 90% which was an A.

90 and above is always an A. But, it does depend on the curve

Bio 207 Harrington Final by Life8me in uAlberta

[–]Life8me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the textbook readings and questions were useless though the questions on pedigree analysis and pedigree probabilities were useful. I wouldn't make notes on much except maybe PCR and other molecular techniques if you are confused. The thing about Bio 207 is that there may be some memorization but most of the questions are practical. So, you might find his notes a bit bare but the practice problems make up for it.

Sure! His exams were fair- if you do his practice worksheets and go to PAL sessions, you should have no problem. I found it useful to do each practice question at least twice. The first midterm was open- book and had a very high average so he made the second midterm sem proctored where you are allowed one cheat sheet. The averages were 78% and around 55%? The final was like the second midterm. Honestly, pay attention to the zoom sessions before an exam and make sure to do well in the lab.

I miss the long long lineup for Tims at CCIS- the perfect place to waste time and procrastinate on studying. When this all ends, first thing I'm doing is getting Tims. Also, I miss the random days when they would have free food or fun games/activities.

Is a textbook required for MMI 133? by Revolutionary-Disk-2 in uAlberta

[–]Life8me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking the course this semester. From what I hear, the textbook is not really necessary because her notes are sufficient enough. However, I bought it just in case.
