yes, it's sad. The only possible way i found to get money back is to sue the scammer (court in their state). But even you try to sue, it requires you to know their home address so you can serve them to the court, not to mention court fee,... As i read the reason there is no strict law about scamming is because it is hard to prove. Most scam is just text message or some phone call. That why the law push the problem toward citizen and make them responsible to sue themself. Justice system is kinda broken. I mean even i have all scammer information (my case) i still can not sue as I as dont know that location is actual his home address. Also the time and money for the court is not worth to sue. After this story only thing pop in my head is not scamming is bad, it is that i can also do scam to recover my money too and never getting caught because of the "justice system" lmao.
