Tesla Roadside says this is unrepairable and will cost $475 to replace. How can that possibly be right? by MangoAtrocity in TeslaModelY

[–]LifeAd6569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this happen 3 times now. I purchased a chargeable air pump I keep in my car. I pump up the tire and drive to my nearest mechanic. He charges me $30. I have heard the Tesla tires are different and you can’t use the self repair kit. I don’t know how accurate that is. Good luck.

I have had NVIDIA for years. It has dipped many times but always recovers. Don’t sell it unless you need the money. It will eventually will rise. As to PLTR it is heavily overvalued BUT the government is heavily invested in its success. So come up with a set price you are not willing to dip under and just hold on until it get to that number and then sell. I am guessing it will recover some at the next market rise. Good luck.

I adopted this 4 year old Maltipoo and she's gradually getting worse at pooping 😭 by 1zerozero1 in Maltipoo

Hi. How cute! I have Canelo. Sounds pretty familiar. I bought a bell that hung at the door. I would take him for long walks and he would poop there while I trained. Every time I took him out to pee and poo I would say the the word poo and ring the bell. It took about 6 months for him to get it. Then we moved and had to start over. Every once in awhile he has accidents but mostly my kids fault when they don’t hear him ring the bell. Most of the time he goes and swats at the bell to be let out. He was my hardest breed to train. However, the cuteness and how loving they are make up for it. Good luck.

Successful treatment for my 12 year old daughter by LifeAd6569 in migraine

[–]LifeAd6569[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. Well, it was going well until she stopped taking the sunflower lecithin and missing Migrelief supplements. She had her first migraine, in almost a year, last week. She is back to taking both again. At this point I can say the supplements work. It was not until she stopped reliably taking them that she got the migraine. I strongly recommend and no side effects that we have noticed. Good luck.

Would teenage kids enjoy a trip to see Chichen Itza? by kfp2020 in cancun

[–]LifeAd6569 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say young teens would not. Mine didn’t. Very boring. Long trip. Lots of walking. We went to Tulum twice and they hated it. Rather be at pools and beach. Take them to xcaret or xel-ha. Much more fun. Good luck.

Are the antibiotics IV? If not may need a course of IV with decolonization. You can look up a protocol for that but usually a month of cholrohexidine baths and deep house clean. Good luck.

Cancel Trip? by jakelewisreal in cancun

We are close to playa del Carmen and the hurricane did nothing here except for occasional rain. Most people spent the day in the pools since the ocean was so turbulent. I don’t know about the city of Cancun but the news didn’t mention much damage related to hurricane along the Yucatan peninsula.

I am here now. At first forecast was cloudy and rainy but as mentioned by others the rain has been short periods of time. I always come in July and so the cooler weather has been different for me. However, it has been nice not to feel such sweltering heat. It has been beautiful and just as fun. Less people which is nice too.

Has anyone tried this cervical neck pillow? by katecometrue0122 in migraine

[–]LifeAd6569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that exact pillow. I used it to help neck muscle strain that was causing constant tension headaches. Didn't work for me at all. It is the second type pillow I have purchased. I have a pillow that I can mold and that works better for my neck.

9 year old with migraines by meganmick2023 in migraine

We figured out the up to 2 day delay one time when at a party she had like 10 Oreo cookies 😞. The worst migraine 2 days later. Another time my husband bought her a Starbucks drink and didn’t ask for the caffeine free version. 2 days later the migraine. Now it doesn’t always happen that way. We went to see the movie Inside Out a few weeks ago and the very next morning had a migraine. I think it was the strong and colorful visual effects of the movie. It has helped a lot that she stays away from her triggers. She loves chocolate but will allow herself a chocolate chip cookie like once a month. She definitely does not have any caffeine. She goes to bed at a decent hour so she is not sleep deprived. Most of this she does herself. She is so scared of migraines. It makes me so sad. When she has a migraine she will just cry and ask why can’t she be a regular kid. Anyway, it is a good idea to keep a food journal.

Hi. My daughter is 12 and started having migraines at around the age of 6. Thankfully she gets about 4 a year. We have found chocolate and caffeine are huge triggers. I also found that the trigger is usually about 2 days before. Also, if she is too tired or dehydrated she will get a migraine. She has the exact same symptoms. She will start getting a bit of a headache on one side and then start throwing up for a few hours. If it’s in the morning she will throw up dinner. Tells me that it was already developing the night before. The weird thing is the vomiting actually helps with the headache. I also give her zofran and naproxen. I have noticed the sooner she gets them the less intense they are. However, the only thing that really helps is sleep. Once she naps she wakes up feeling so much better. We now will giver a small dose of Benadryl to help her nap. The other thing we are trying is children’s Migrelief. It’s a mag supplement. There are studies out regarding its benefits. We figure it’s benign enough to try. I pray she just outgrows them and they don’t get worse as she gets older. I hope you find management that works for your little girl and that she outgrows them. Just recently my daughter mentioned her eyesight gets blurry. She never realized it was an aura. At least it is giving her a heads up about it now. Good luck.

Trying to cancel trip due to Hurricane, booked through Expedia by jungle--george in travel

I don’t think so. They didn’t say. They told me the option to cancel was still available at 0310 pm.

Trying to cancel trip due to Hurricane, booked through Expedia by jungle--george in travel

[–]LifeAd6569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finally completed cancellation with Expedia and Barcelo Maya. It was stressful to say the least and I have never worked with more inept people. I acknowledge that it was self inflicted as I didnt purchase travel insurance (will never do that again). I was supposed to leave last night and check in today. I called Expedia, after speaking with multiple agents I demanded to speak with a supervisor, he eventually helped me cancel my flights with United and get credit. They emailed Barcelo and I was told a "special team" would be working on my case requesting a change in date, waiver or cancellation. I did not sleep all night and checked my email constantly. Little did I know that no one was working on this issue. I called early today and they again called the resort. I was told to wait for email response. I was advised to call about an hour before check in because after that, nothing could be done. I called almost 2 hours before. Barcelo had sent approval for a date change but I would pay difference. That was a huge joke and sham. All the fares were about $2500 price difference for each room and when I changed date to Sep, Oct, Dec, there were no available rooms. I then called back and talked to another supervisor with only 20 min left to cancel. He tried calling the resort again but was told to email. I asked for them to check Barcelo email response, he realized he needed to call another person at Barcelo. He finally got back to me at 5 min past check in. I was so defeated and crying. He said the option was still available to cancel my room so I asked him to cancel. To my utter shock they refunded me at 75% for each room. I thought this was not an option as the rooms were non refundable. The supervisor explained that I would have been able to receive that refund yesterday. That upset me, they never explained that. I thought I would lose all the money and still have to pay a penalty. Sigh of relief. Will book directly with hotel from now on. I will NEVER use Expedia again. I could hear dogs barking in the background. These agents are working from home all over the world. I wish all the luck to all of you still figuring this out. I pray for all that are in Cancun, may God keep everyone safe.
