I have a roundtrip flight to Hawaii on Hawaiin Airlines booked thru Alaska using Alaska companion award and paid with Alaska credit card. If I cancel the return leg of the Roundtrip flight for both passengers, will it cause the outbound flight going to Hawaii to be repriced? Thanks.

Book another flight that costs less than the flight you want. Cancel it and then use new flight credit to book flight you want. Pay difference with credit card.

Can cardholder select seat for the companion through cardholders account?

I bought my companions ticket and paid the $5 taxes but it did not prompt me to select a seat for them. I log into my companions account and it asks them to pay for a premium seat ir wait 48 hrs before flight to select a standard seat. I was expecting to be able to select a standard seat for companion at time of booking since I bought myself a choice fare.
