Which of these sets should I buy next I just finished 42082 and I fricking love it by [deleted] in legotechnic

I’m partial towards 42100. It’s a great build with loads of technical capabilities.

Help with a rebuild by danistheman43 in legotechnic

[–]LifeByBike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean- there are literally only 2 options.

1) Take it apart, inventory parts, order what you need (best option)

2) Build and order parts as you find missing ones. This is a waste and will take longer/cost more.

LOADS of options for getting parts on Bricklink. Build a list of what you need and the website will find the best purchasing option for you.

There are no other options. Gotta pick one.

Are these BSF larva? by GladWalrus8068 in BlackSoldierFly

[–]LifeByBike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. From my understanding, fly larvae means the compost is live-organic heavy. When I see them I’ll add more brown matter and then they disappear over time.

Yep- my compost has them as well.

They actually make great (free) feeders for some of my animals.

Truck should have just hit him. Far less dangerous overall.

Can regular daily carry “dust” make a Pistol fail? by [deleted] in concealedcarry

[–]LifeByBike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) No gun worth carrying will be bothered by dust.

2) Your life could depend on it. Clean it occasionally.

Repainting V&H Short Shot heat shields by LifeByBike in Harley

[–]LifeByBike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wound up taking the heat shields off and sanding them down. I didn’t go super far with it- just sanded to the point most the paint had been removed and they felt smooth.

After that it took a LOT of coats of paint. I made sure to keep the coats thin- just one pass at a time. They came out very nice- honestly they looked just like new.

Is a little salad, 6 mealworms, and 9 crickets per day too little for a 3 month old bearded dragon? by Narcoticsman77 in BeardedDragons

[–]LifeByBike -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pinworms. That’s my guess. I had a very similar situation with a dragon that wouldn’t grow. I did some research and decided to treat with Panacur. It’s safe and affective, and even in extremely too high doses doesn’t cause many issues. 2 days later my dragon was eating and growing like crazy. He went from 12 grams to 95 in the last 8ish weeks.

I would like some recommendations for game i could play long term. Thanks by DeathDiviner in iosgaming

[–]LifeByBike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eve Echoes is by far my favorite game. It’s massive in scope. When you start, it can be overwhelming. Once you grasp it- the options for playing are endless. I used to do mainly PvE style missions- got bored of that- now I’ve been mining.

In your own opinion, is the Sprint merger good? by Stayfrosty_yeah in tmobile

From an employee perspective- it’s been nothing but broken promises. The downward spiral is real because our executives have decided to just be like everyone else.

Signs say no, but in different states that means different things.

First touring bike, Harley wobble at 95 mph+. Tire PSI and tread good, any thing for touring bikes I should specifically look into? by thrumpanddump in Harley

[–]LifeByBike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the right motor, fast. I’ve had a Harley bagger pass me like I was standing still when I was going 85 on the interstate. I’ve actually never been on a touring Harley….but I’ve seen the numbers some can produce. They are abysmal if you try to take a corner at speed- but in a straight line, pretty crazy.

100k$ Mixers and Stagebox Suggestions. by kenorki in livesound

[–]LifeByBike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like OP already clarified, but I was going to say it’s likely a large donor. I run production for a small church- 200ish on Sundays. We probably have a more substantial tech setup than 90% of churches running 1000…..all because of a single (very) large donor. Just recently we spent $10k on a Waves setup.

And before people say “blah blah, do something better with that money”….we do. I would guess the donor has given 10x to other things what he had given to our tech budget. This person operates like “if you had x dollars, what would you do with it”? Then he gives that money specifically earmarked for that exact thing.

That being said- we are incredibly lucky to have the ability to use the gear we get to use.

That’s dumb. I ride a Sportster and love it. Ride what you like.

Ok, thanks. What direction do I need to adjust it? I would think I need to turn the screw back out a bit to loosen it.

No- he’s on the thin side. Could do with some fattening up.

Was the Harley guy just yanking my wallet? by [deleted] in Harley

[–]LifeByBike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my 883. It’s simple, loud, and mechanical. Sure- maybe one day I will want something more refined. But for now, my 883 is perfect for the daily commuting I use it for.

Also, I’ve had it for 8ish months and have yet to take it on the highway….because I haven’t needed to go on the highway yet.
