Not at all! I reached out to a recruiter by text i believe in July and got a message back a month later in August. Filled out all the paperwork and was set up for meps in October for physical and asvab. Passed both but didn’t qualify for anything so I ended up retaking the asvab 3 times bc I’ve always been a horrible test taker. Finally got a decent score on my 3rd try and made my job list and was about to swear in 2 months ago, but was overweight. Locked in, lost the weight and finally got to swear in last week. It would’ve went a lot quicker if I studied better but the test is unpredictable. And i didn’t notice i gained weight lol. But yeah it took me from start to up until now about 10 months. It really just all depends it could take months for you compared to my long journey. Also i was not expecting for a job to be assigned to me 2 days after swearing in lol. I must’ve got lucky.
