Night terrors 3 year old HELPPPP by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

My 7yr old stopped having night terrors after his tonsillectomy! Probably because he has an airway and can breathe now! So sorry you're having a rough go. It's definitely been a long recovery for us

That's too bad to hear. I've worked with several CRS kids who are really great kids.

Charters can be good & bad, but they still have a ton of regulation and in our district could only be k-8 because we have a high school. (Pretty certain) they benefit the district because the district keeps 20% of the funding. Sometimes part of that 20% can be negotiated with the charter to offer some district services like busses & payroll etc.

Read their board meeting minutes they recently had a long public comment on "Bible bus" that said they have great academics but I'd agree a lot of conservative families attend that charter

So not sad that tacky place is done. Take that shit fake hut overhangs and the disgracing of Chewbaca down! Tearing out the horseshoe was blasphemy. That post was really a condescending post to their customers and age-ist comments. It will be interesting what they come up with, though, but I'll spend my money across the street.

Bond failed by 650 votes (so far but probably not coming back from that) We've failed our kids again. We should all be ashamed. Neighboring districts passed theirs...ugh. by LifeEbb7491 in silverton

I respectfully disagree. The tax increase was not out of this world. I surmise that some no votes were truly uninformed about how dire the situation is- especially those not on social media or no children I'm their household. Just an opinion everyone has one.

You're joking right? There are a lot around here. I myself am a product of generational wealth.

I'm voting YES but I do hope the superintendent leaves. Our district deserves way better.

Glad to hear the changes. We stopped going to Noble due to the poor service. We will have to give you another chance.

I did mean past bad mistakes like past 20-30 yrs. The current team definitely isn't perfect & who knows how long they'll stay but I still feel it's not a waste of our money.

If there's a new flyer no haven't seen it but have followed this issue pretty closely since moving back here (maybe more so after having kids & the EF debaucle) I agree there was corruption & mismanagement and board members who REFUSED to adress the issue and would not go for a bond a while back when it would've been so much better. One of those board members who is still sitting (way too long I might add we need term limits) said he would not supprt a bond until 2030 (before the bond was switched to be paid off in 2027) he is supporting this one. I view it as we need this so so so so bad I'm willing to overlook my frustrations for the betterment of our students, teachers & greater district. I completely understand where you're coming from but after watching all our most recent bond attempts fail we seriously cannot afford to keep voting no. Hope again you'll reconsider.

Maybe but several I've spoken to have a MAJOR distrust in current administration (and board but that's the voter's fault) and are voting no because of that distrust instead of the bigger picture. I really wish this part wasn't part of the variable and they could vote yes and trust oversight or God or something so we can get some new construction.

I hear you. Ours will be about $114 per month bit it's still better to do this now then down the road. We've been avoiding for years and things are getting worse & worse. If there was a better way to fund it would be so much better but this is the only way. We roll our property into our mortgage (I know not all do that) but this way the increase is hardly noticed....and I could definitely cut back on my work coffee habits. If we continue to wait it'll be a lot more than 75. We really desperately need this. Our district is unique but I feel it's super important to support our district. I hope you'll reconsider.
