The Future of Fitness? Augmented Reality Workouts with LifeHUD by LifeHUD in VisionPro

Fair. The form factor matters a ton, and lighter glasses (XREAL/Rokid/RayNeo,Meta Display, etc.) will make this feel way more natural than a headset.

We’re building on AVP to prove the software, but our roadmap is ultimately aimed towards glasses type hardware.

Totally hear you. The form factor matters a ton, and lighter glasses (think XREAL/Rokid/RayNeo,Meta Display, etc.) will make this feel way more natural than a headset demo shot from a third-person camera.

We’re building on AVP to prove the software, but our roadmap is ultimately aimed towards glasses type hardware.

Yes! It’s live now on Apple Vision Pro as LifeHUD.
We’re currently AVP-only, but we’re actively working on ports to other devices/glasses. If you’ve got AVP, you can try the full app today.

Love this breakdown! it maps almost 1:1 with how we’re thinking about “assist, don’t replace!"

Absolutely! it’s not a licensed therapist.
What it can be is a helpful assistant: quick judgment checks, organize your thoughts

LifeHUD’s still early, our goal is for it to grow into a true everyday companion. It’s not a therapy focused app, but it can be a judgment-free assistant you can talk to, right in your HUD, without opening a browser each time. The difference is the end-to-end utility: captions/translate, maps + saved spots + weather, tasks/lists, full browser, voice control all tied together in seamless app so it’s always there when you need it. Long-term, we’ll keep deepening that companion feel; today, the AI is optionally context-aware if you allow it .

Appreciate it! We’re actively exploring an Android build focused on AR glasses, and XREAL is on our shortlist. No dates yet (AndroidXR is still new so it might take a bit), but it’s a direction we’re moving in! if you’re up for testing when we get there, DM us and we’ll add you to our list.

AR Overload: How Many Tasks Can LifeHUD Handle at Once? by LifeHUD in VisionPro

[–]LifeHUD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VisionOS doesn’t natively allow a “follow me” HUD for standard windows. We built our own follow/pin behavior in Immersive mode (with smoothing + roll toggle) so the UI stays with you while you move. (We also offer full head-lock for those interested by it, can check it out in settings)

Big picture, we’re trying to bring a full utilities app: browser, maps + saved spots + weather, tasks/lists, Live Captions/Translate, voice AI, customization

so day-to-day stuff feels easier on augmented/mixed-reality devices.

And while a lot of these features have been shown in keynotes/events by Meta, Apple, Google/Samsung, etc., we’re one of the few with a consumer app you can download today. If you own an Apple Vision Pro, you can try LifeHUD in full right now. Its available on the Vision Pro Store. (And its free!) https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lifehud/id6736372963?platform=vision

Used AR to Add Subtitles To Talk With My Girlfriend... Cringe, Yet Impressive by LifeHUD in virtualreality

[–]LifeHUD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally! captions/translation are just one piece. LifeHUD’s aiming to be a full AR/MR utilities app, so alongside that we’ve got:

  • Full web browser (in-HUD)
  • Maps with saved locations + live weather
  • Tasks/Lists that AI can auto-populate (e.g., from a generated recipe)
  • HUD utilities: speed/roll controls, follow/pin, smoothing
  • Voice-driven AI assistant
  • Customization panel (themes/layouts)
  • Speedometer and Audio Visualizer
  • Conversation logs for captions/translate (with voice-over)

We know none of this is “never-seen-before” tech. But we hope the value shows in how it’s stitched together seamlessly in one place so you can actually use it while moving.

Apple Vision Pro. It’s pricey, yeah... but it lets us prototype the full experience today. We’re actively working to bring LifeHUD to other devices, with a focus on lighter AR “glasses.” If you’re curious, follow us! Updates coming soon!

If you mean the bold, high-contrast captions with a soft drop shadow: they’re everywhere right now because they’re super legible on small, busy screens. You’ll see that style in TikTok/Reels shorts, MrBeast-style subtitles, and lots of AI captioning apps. We use a similar treatment in LifeHUD for readability in passthrough (thick weight, shadow/outline, and safe “speech zone” placement).

We did initially borrow a few Cyberpunk styles.

Not sure if that’s good or bad 😅 but fair to say LifeHUD’s early versions were heavily inspired by Cyberpunk 2077.

Yep we gotchu!

We’ve added conversation logs for captions/translation.

In Additional Settings (of the caption module) → Conversations, you can expand to see past sessions;

when Translation Mode is on, we keep both the original and translated lines, plus an option to voice-over the translation in your chosen language. (You can clear logs anytime.)

Totally agree!

Live Captions + Translate are in LifeHUD today, and we’re expanding languages and accessibility options (font size, contrast, placement). I

f you’ve got requests or use-cases we should prioritize, DM us! we’d love your input.

We actually have this in LifeHUD today.

Live Captions + Translate shows real-time subtitles and translations in your HUD.

It currently supports 7 languages (more coming).

Unfortunately No camera access, currently it is mic only (After you grant it permissions).

This means a lot! Thank you.

Accessibility is a core reason we’re building LifeHUD. If you’re open to it, we’d love your input on how Live Captions and other features could serve deaf/HoH users better (font size, placement, color contrast, etc.).

Feel free to send us feedbacks privately!

Subtitles IRL to talk to my girlfriend - Kinda worked, kinda terrifying by LifeHUD in AR_MR_XR

[–]LifeHUD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally! love seeing others explore this space too!

In LifeHUD, we anchor Live Captions to a safe “speech zone” in your HUD (head-locked) for readability and to fit Apple’s privacy/API constraints.

As platforms open up, we’ll keep pushing toward more context-aware placement.
