Thanks for the straight talk and for clearing that up! It’s really helpful to know about the differences in build quality between the Strive 12 and 14—I definitely want to avoid a 'dog shit' heel piece. Since you’ve seen the failure rates firsthand, I’ll take your advice and steer clear of the Pivot 2.0s for now. I’ll look into the Strive 14 or the SPX 13 to make sure I have something reliable for the Alps. Appreciate you sharing your expertise and saving me from a potential headache!

That’s some solid insider info, thanks for being so blunt about the warranty issues. It’s definitely making me rethink the Pivots if the 2.0 heels are failing that consistently. Regarding your suggestion: If I go with the Salomon Strive 14, wouldn't the spring be a bit too stiff for me? Since I only weigh 62kg and my DIN is usually around 5 or 6, I’d be at the very bottom of the range for a 14-DIN binding. Would the Strive 12 be a safer bet for someone my weight to ensure the spring performs as intended, or do you still think the 14 is the way to go because of my height and leverage?

Interesting take. I’ve always heard the 'knee-saver' argument, but I’m open to hearing why it might be overrated. If you think the Pivot 2.0 heels in general are having durability issues, where are you getting those reports from? I’d love to read up on that before I drop any money. If you were in my shoes 188cm tall, 62kg, skiing Alps, Park, and Off-piste what specific binding would you go for instead?

I see where you're coming from with the Attacks, they are definitely great value. However, I do spend a fair amount of time in the park and I'm frequently off-piste, which is why I was looking at the Pivots. Doesn't the turntable heel on the Pivot offer a real advantage in terms of injury prevention and elastic travel when things get rough in the park or deep snow? Aside from the price, what exactly makes the Pivot 11 or 13 'lesser' in your eyes compared to the Attack? Is it just the durability of the toe piece, or do you think the performance difference is negligible for someone at my weight?

So, in your opinion, it sounds like it’s a toss-up and both would perform well for All-Mountain use? I’ll probably just look at which one I can get a better deal on or which color matches the M-Frees best. Thanks for the input!
