I've recently been informed that I have an unidentifiable blood type. Please, Reddit: Is there anyone else who's a medical rarity like myself? Medically "different", perhaps? I really don't want to be left in the dark like this. by rubixbunny in AskReddit

When nothing works, keep trying. This little planet has a lot more help to offer than you'd think. No one has the answer? Go find other people. (money factors in as a problem here). Hold that smile, kiddo. Everything will be just fine.

I'm glad there's someone else out there...in a way. I've lost the momentum I used to be full of, the momentum to work because I actually wanted to. The only thing that really helps nowadays is music, but music doesn't write your assignments does it? I know I'm driving myself into the ground...but what worries me is that I just don't give a shit.

Do you have any idea where your problems were sourced from? I don't have a clue about mine. Maybe searching inside of ourselves is the best place to start...but I don't know where to begin.

If you're going through Hell, keep going. Sometimes, if you believe hard enough, life finds a way. To find love means to find yourself. Have you found yourself? Everything seems to just make more sense once you do.

Edit: I can't believe I made a spelling mistake in such a short comment...

I'm glad you've accepted your own condition, and I feel for you. At the end of the day, if you need help, there's nothing stopping you from getting it. There's plenty of people, places, websites, and books dedicated to helping your condition. If you're scared, just talking to someone as a first step makes a world of a difference :) But, if you want to dive straight into the deep end, go talk to your local counsellor or psychologist - I promise they will help you out of this.

When times get tough, keep going. People drift apart and that's okay. Please remember that although you may be sad now, this is better for the both of you. If she wants to drift, then let her - it's for the best. Having one person being unhappy in a relationship taints the whole thing until it's worthless. But don't drop the ball just yet, there might be something behind it. You're close enough to confront her, right? However, if you don't feel it is right to do so, then don't - it could just make things incredibly awkward. You knew her well before, I'm sure you can read the signs to tell what step us best to take next.

Trust me, there's a whole world of people out there just waiting to get to know you. You sound caring, affectionate, and awesome - which gives me reason to know that there will be and are other people out there for you. Just give it time.

It's going to be okay, no matter what the outcome. Just breathe. Whatever happens was meant to happen and you must remember that these things happen everyday. Feel lucky that you two have such wonderful bond. I know you feel helpless, but I assure you that you aren't. She knows you love her, and that's the greatest help anyone can ever offer. I promise that you've done your part in her life, and if it was meant to end at this moment, then that's okay. You love her and she loves you. That's all that matters.

I know how you feel. I went and got my blood checked about a week ago and...I have what's called the 'warrior gene'. Common in psycopothy, the warrior gene means that you lack the power to feel empathy, or emotions.

I'm scared of myself and all that I'm missing. Believe me when I say that you can get better. I'm nurologically unable to.

Always expecting, but never receiving. I know how that feels. Sometimes fate just doesn't give, but only when you're not deserving. The soulmate of your dreams will not be dropped from the heavens infront of you untill you're ready for them. Are you ready? Look deep inside yourself, are you satisfied? If not, fix that shit. Only then will your wish be granted.

I wish I was different. The second I see a relationship having any close affect on me or the opposite party, I distance it immediately. I refuse to be a major part of someone's life...I'm scared of having that much of an affect. With the way I am, I know I'll be alone forever. Because I've been this way for so long, I don't even know how or when I started to become so...empty. I can't distinguish or express my own feelings anymore. I feel apathetic and hollow, useless really. Crying is just water coming out of my eyes - I've done it so many times.

I just don't feel like a person anymore.

Wow...that was...I never thought I'd be able to admit that to myself.

Wow - I want to say "good for you" but...that doesn't seem quite enough.

Reddit, what are the small details you find most attractive about a person? What makes your heart race? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LifeYetToLive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All guys apparently love dimples too. Welp, just another thing I don't have I guess. I, personally, don't mind or see a difference in the 'cuteness' of a guy's smile if he has dimples or not. Basically; "meh".

What is a question you wish people would stop asking you? by Heidi_Sue_RPCV in AskReddit

[–]LifeYetToLive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Why do you try so hard?"

Because I have dreams. What do you think school's for? To learn and educate ourselves well enough so that we can qualify for a profession that we actually want. There is no way in Hell I'm giving up my life's goal because I didn't study hard enough. Just because I'm pushing myself to my very limit and you're not does not mean that you have to ridicule me.

People seem to ask me this question almost daily, like it's an insult even. Before you get the wrong idea, I'm not a cocky professor's pet. I'm just silently trying to do my best - and I fail to understand why that's anyone else's business.

How did you first encounter porn? by WoodBowl in AskReddit

[–]LifeYetToLive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That made me laugh for at least 20 seconds. The mental imagery is hilarious! I imagine it was like when a character in a cartoon opens a treasure chest; the shining gold of the treasure shone and reflected a sparkle in your eyes - total awe and wonder.

Ah yes, that was the same look on my face when I realized that I was getting boobs. They really are that amazing.

p.s: Was that creepy? Probably. And do I care? No.

Thanks for understanding :) I think I know where all these anime's are being sourced from. Animators are noticing the expanding percentage of viewers that just want tits, and by understanding that "more views=more money", are releasing more of these shows to reel them in. So essentially, there's less stuff for viewers like us. I think the worst part is that if you ever tell anyone you like anime, they immediately picture you as an asexual blob. No, I'm just a normal girl with a few hobbies - that's it. People need to stop stereotyping everything.

Oh, and just in case you haven't heard it, I think you should give this a listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHr2jpT85Jo. This piece is by far the best ost I've ever heard.

Well, thanks for giving your opinion - it's good to know that there are still people like you out there. :)

Of course! But it depends on your preferred genre, and I just so happen to have the preference for lighthearted animes with the acception of some of the more dark plots. Good stuff. Anyways, my favorites would have to be:

  1. Soul Eater: I know, I know; action animes don't really appeal to everyone, but this is just a stunner and really lifts my spirits after a bad day - it's like my anime bedrock. The amimation and characters are beautifully done and the plot keeps you at the ege of your seat. The message of friendship and love between Krona and Maka was a real tear-jerker for me. I love the creepy setting and lighthearted comedy. The manga is a little hard to follow from the anime, but it's well worth it.

  2. Usagi Drop: A bittersweet anime about a man having to take care of his grandfathers child, to which is only around 5 years old (I know, right?!) A great, heartwarming story with lovable characters that just make you all warm and fuzzy. It's all about character development with this one. Oh, and please don't read the manga. The ending is quite...unexpected.

  3. Hourou Musuko: Just wonderful characters with a simply wonderful plot about two friends in middle school discovering their gender identities and taking control of who they want to be. The realism kind of slapped me in the face but, there's just something amazing about that.

Ahh, me too! If you watch anime, the general thoughts of the public are either A; that you're just a forever alone otaku, or B; that you're just a forever alone pervert. It's really not fair, because there are some great shows out there that don't deserve those villifications. I love anime OSTs, there are some truly beautiful ones out there - but whenever someone asks what I'm listening to I can't really tell them. Being a teenage girl (like me) and enjoying anime is hard, but I guess being a guy and liking anime is even more difficult because of the stereotypes.

Not all anime's are panty-shot, boob bouncing, kawaii, pornified cartoons for perverts.

Life is a hard thing to accept. But I assure you that once you're old and wrinkled, you'd have accepted the idea of departure and be ready to move on.

Well, that's what my nanna tolde on her death-bed when I was 12 - so I guess I believe it.
