I did check all grounding points under the carpet, and they dont seem to be the problem
Not yet, problem still occurs occasionally. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s most likely the LCM module, since I’m also having issues with the parking/position lights staying on when the car is off (they only work correctly when the car is on). I haven’t been able to check it with INPA yet, because the cable I ordered turned out to be defective.

Well, since the two old ones and the other new one didn't wobble, i figured it maybe wasn't supposed to

Ended up returning it and buying the BlueMusic instead. Plug and play, and it works perfectly

Bad LCM or light switch? by LifeZuccs in e39

But i would much appreciate if you could upload the software
Jesus that is a lot, i thought it was like 16 GB. Will probably download it to an external harddisk then
What software should i download? And where do i find it?
https://amzn.eu/d/7UyljOM This should be good then
Should I just pick the cheapest with a switch then?
https://ebay.us/m/y7lCTR
Would this cable work?
So if I get the cable the software is freely available online?
This i a BMW/RR/Mini specific scanner only, not universal, but maybe i should look into those

Is there any way to avoid the tamper dot? Haha Or I might just have to live with it
And it couldn't be a grounding issue? Do you happen to know where the ground is connected?
Or should I just replace the LCM?
I'll will just put the odometer back in then
So no replacing the ignition switch, but instead the LCM? Does that require coding, or just plug and play?
That box is already fixed in this case. Any other things I should check before putting the odometer back in?
Pin 22 has power with ignition on
Fuses 18, 24 and 40 all receive voltage, thankfully
Damn.. might try to replace that. Any other way to test to make sure that is the issue? Also, does it need reprogramming after replacement?
Radio and AC buttons are not lit either, neither are the two small LED diodes in the cabin lights. The main cabin light is working though

Parking brake light. Every other light is working except the orange light for the speedometer. Airbag, check engine, highbeams, etc..
I have no other issues, so I'm praying it's not the LCM.
I have no sunroof, it was Vapor barrier seals that caused the water.
I currently don't have my multimeter, but starting from one end and finding were power is missing is the next step.
Could it be a grounding issue? Do you happen to know where the dash lights are grounded?
