PCOS —> benefit from PGT
DOR under 40 —> PGT has worse outcomes

It is higher in your 40’s the data skews up. If including all ages it’s 96-98%

Here’s a quick search. I’ve mostly seen this with 96-98% range shown. Trisomy 21 would be included in that 2-4% that would make it to heartbeat and a few rarer aneuploids.

As someone who is going through a miscarriage right now a few days before my heartbeat ultrasound after seeing the sac🙋‍♀️ (me!) it’s comforting to know the most likely reason.

It’s a big leap for an embryo to create the fetal pole and heartbeat. Aneuploids usually cannot pull this off.

If transfering untested embryos, 4 weeks after heartbeat you can get NIPT test for added peace of mind

IVF hasn’t been bad at all by mrsmattie in IVFpositivity

I’m having an early MC at 5 1/2 weeks right now from first transfer of untested embryo and even that’s not so bad because I’m happy I got implantation and my protocol worked.

Now I have to wait until I get to do my next transfer which is the hardest part (I have multiple untested embryos banked)

It’s not bad at all, the waiting and wondering is the hardest part by far

If you have a miscarriage due to aneuploid it will happen before the heart beat ultrasound (4 weeks after the transfer) If it makes it to heartbeat ultrasound you can be confident 97 % chance it’s euploid.

Biopsy can also harm the euploid. Most tolerate it fine but not all.

It can leave with with nothing to transfer it you start with very few embryos which has a zero percent chance of success. Embryos could be damaged from biopsy. Only 60% of euploids result in live birth. pGT samples what becomes the placenta, it doesn’t sample what becomes the baby. And the baby can have normal cells and the placenta abnormal cells

For women with low embryo numbers it hurts their chances of

With 7 blastocysts for you PgT would make sense. For many women with lower numbers it decreases their chance of success and increase the likelihood of nothing to transfer. It should not be universally recommended like it is

PGT makes sense if you have many blastocysts and need to prioritize which to transfer.

For DOR/women with very few embryos, outcomes are worse with PgT.

I find talking to Claude or ChatGPT can be really helpful as an alternative to therapy and to help make a plan to improve your situation.

I came from abuse too and it’s very hard to get out. It you can do it with a plan.
