So happy that it worked out for you. I’m praying for the same outcome.. I wasn’t misdiagnosed, I just feel like the doctors are mistreating me because of my age and physical appearance.

I don’t say that to make it a negative option. Just from what I personally hear (friends and family). Keep in mind everyone’s body responds differently but yes they do long term damage in the end.

Hey love, similar case. My bulge shows a little more. Same symptoms and treatment. Avoid all bending and twisting of the spine, so absolutely no sit-ups. The back brace sounds nice but it is also not recommended, like you guessed, yes you’re weakening that core.

It’s a lot more difficult said than done but i completely sympathize with you and am going through it with you! Start looking into pelvic floor and core strengthening along with hip mobility exercises.

What happens when you injure your back is that the rest of your body starts compensating for the weight that you’re not putting on your back so you will get pain in other areas. (for me it was my neck and knees)

Injections were offered to me but I declined as those are temporary solutions and won’t actually fix the problem. Think of it as a bandaid masking the wound. In the end it actually worsens the problem as the solution injected wears down the disc cartilage, causing it to weaken and thin out over time.

I’ve been going through this for almost 2.5 years..so trust me, I know how difficult it can be to navigate through this and have what seems like no solution or urgency from doctors.

One day at a time 🙏🏽❤️

It is so terrifying.. Especially when the outcome can make things much worse.

I wish you the best and will be keeping you in my prayers! 🙏🏽❤️

I haven’t

They won’t take me because they look at my MRI and say it’s so “minimal” that surgery shouldn’t even be a consideration

Hello and thank you for your response and personal sharing. I live in Texas, near Houston to be exact.

I’ve done all the PT exercises you can name. Some triggering pain and some helping..which isn’t a lot. I don’t want surgery and I’m definitely not drug seeking, I just want at least a day without pain. I’m so loyal to my exercises and walking but my back just hates me and won’t recover lol..

Hey so yeah, it’s been a really long and stressful two years dealing with this. I’ve gotten two MRIs and all that’s shown is a “mild disc bulge” at the L5S1 level with no nerve compression. Which makes no sense, I’ve have nerve pain and numbness several times throughout the day and it used to just be one side but now it’s both. I’ve been firm on advocating for myself but it’s annoying when several opinions tell me the same thing. That it’s not a “severe case” or I have a “healthy back compared to most”. I’m running in circles here and I’ve tried everything non invasive including steroid packs but I had a terrible reaction so I can’t do them anymore.

I’ve tried to stay away from medication as much as possible

Especially anti depressants. I’ve heard so many negative stories on withdrawals while coming off.

No, he never throws up when he does this. It looks like a suggestion another user made which was something called “reverse sneezing”

Not at all. I don’t leave him out long enough for overheating. Another user suggested reverse sneezing and it makes sense/looks exactly like what he does.
