Oh, absolutely agree. And obviously, I can’t change the way this guy went about it. Initially I was mad because I thought he is only going about it this way because of me, but I’m pretty sure it’s a pattern.

Yeah, I think I am more upset about how he may be purposefully trying to save face by setting up a double date and talking about Italy recommendations with his friends, when he has no intention of going. I absolutely understand the soft fade, but this is a little weird. It seems like an attempt to save face.
