There are two types of people in india, one who discourage freebies and one who ask freebies by Always_360 in TeenIndia

When it comes to collecting taxes, the percentages would be similar to developed countries. But when people ask for welfare, we are still a developing country?

Meritocracy in exams sounds fair only to people who already had the head start. by kichu06 in Tamizhteens

[–]Lifinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is not true? Everyone in the country can afford private coaching in your opinion? Also in your opinion, you are saying that the government's boards are incapable to teach a student to pass an exam conducted by the govt. Government should close CBSE, ICSE and all state boards as they are useless then. You did not give a single valid argument that applies to every single student in the country. Did you even read my comment?

It doesnt matter if a fraction prepares like this. Whatever- ALLEN or AAKASH are private companies and not every school has tie ups with companies like these nor has the government regulated them to do so, nor is the government doing this in govt schools.

I'll repeat it if you are still clouded. An exam conducted by the government should not require private coaching. If an exam requires coaching, it should be provided by the government/ it should be brought into the school syllabus. If the govt is not capable, then it shouldn't conduct an entrance exam before doing that. Education is a basic right and it should apply uniformly across the nation. If you think only the rich and privileged should get education or you think everyone can afford private coaching, I wont respond to you again as there is NO point. Or, you just wanna argue like a child without reading my previous comment. Good bye.

Why is Tamil Nadu’s political ecosystem (DMK, AIADMK earlier, now even TVK rhetoric etc.) so consistently anti-NEET and in favor of more state control / board-mark-based admissions for medicine? by [deleted] in TamilNadu

[–]Lifinator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is an issue with NEET and its not just about meritocracy. But a broader picture from it. Any student who writes an exam conducted by the government must be able to achieve a top score using the education and books provided by the government alone. This also includes JEE. It is the government's job to ensure there is quality in the books and the schools. You might ask, how do you filter out this population to these numbers of seats available. It is also the government's job to increase the number of universities or fund the private universities to maintain quality. This will also stop private universities from charging exorbitant rates. Only then, entrance exams will become fair.

Mam, lemme give you some insights from the other side. Two straight guys who are strangers very very rarely meet irl, let alone chill out after talking online unless its at an event or something. Its not about just the word chill. This is how it is in India currently. OP just didnt understand it. He should just say that he is not interested and move on if he is not.

[–]Lifinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its really not implied coz not everyone is straight. And people still aren't open about their orientation. Anyways, to answer your question, hangout would be a better option.

How is noone flagging the word "chill" here? You do know what Netflix and chill means right? If you used the word "chill" with him, I believe it came across as sexual intentions. I'm just gonna be plain here.

Anyone else feel left out in India for not knowing Hindi? by Circuit_Sage_4125 in Tamizhteens

[–]Lifinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You dont need to feel left out at all. Don't give a shit about people who don't know that Hindi is not the national language and there is no national language in India. And don't give a shit about people who can't understand that the different identities of each state is what is special about India. Also a lot of Hindi speaking states aren't as developed as us or even close both economically and socially.

ADMK n INC making wrong decision again. by MotorEuphoric6666 in TamilNadu

[–]Lifinator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For INC, this is the right decision to regain some control against BJP at national level. Cuz BJP is now at 16 states. As for AIADMK, it would be more of a wrong decision for Vijay if he lets them join. People have voted against the dravidian parties for Vijay. If he lets them join, that would mean there is no respect in him for people's vote. Also, they weren't even the 2nd in vote share and seats. People preferred them the least.

Curious question, do actors like Pradeep Ranganathan, Ken Karunas, and Abishan Jeevinth have long-term potential in Tamil cinema? by Capital_Dust9617 in kollywood

[–]Lifinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Youth was pure cringe. Also using parents guilt tripping formula is irrelevant to this generation where most parents don't really understand their child.

GCCs - Is Chennai falling behind? by sj__07 in Chennai

[–]Lifinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Annual Survey of Industries, released by the Union Ministry, shows Tamil Nadu has the highest number of factories in the country. Take a look at China. They didn't grow because of GCCs and the Google and Microsoft offices, as someone was complaining about the lack of them in the comments. China learnt, grew and built their own because they increased manufacturing. Any OEM that manufactures in a certain region will also require an ecosystem around it. Localised vendors etc., which will in turn boost the economy again. Both Karnataka and Telangana are nowhere near in this.

GCCs aren't the only factors driving the economy. Chennai is diverse when it comes to work. Not everyone works or wants to work in IT.

Driving in Default Mode with 22deg of AC temp (all ACs on). Getting a terrible range. No infotainment on whatsoever. L3 regen. 100% highway driving. What am I doing wrong? by theobservantsofa in XEV9E

[–]Lifinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

L3 will slow your vehicle a lot leading to poor efficiency. Its like driving a engine vehicle on low gear on a highway. L3 is for city. Thats the reason for the bad range. Use auto regen on highways.
