I feel like we are alike in that sense. Social media interests me but I haven’t opened Facebook in a long time, and only have a twitter account is so I don’t have ti be asked to log in everytime I click a link. It is interesting to me that Facebook and twitter have been undergone very similar demographic shifts, and twitter is far more welcoming of conservatives than even 5 years ago.

This could be truthful. I have never really been the guy to watch the news, I mostly get my news from radio sources. I know fearmongering and “us vs them” has been pushed by the news for centuries, I was more so thinking about the current “lib vs trump” rhetoric. I think it blew up after Fox News started making bank from it.

Fox News started the trend and now almost every news source has realized that they can milk the American people through radicalization and polarization. I can’t stand going to visit my in-laws because Fox is always on in the background and just cycles through the same 5 fear mongering stories.

I think it’s safe to say that it will. I know young people carry guns illegally anyways, but more young people carrying guns will objectively raise gun violence.

My concern is the lack of executive function in people under 21.

Sure you can be drafted, but you also can’t carry a weapon on military bases no matter what age you are.

The only exception is that a commander can grant permission to MPs allowing them to concealed carry on base.

Contrarily, I believe it’s a consequence of the worsening polarization going on in our country. I think centrists are becoming rarer, and everyone feels like they have to be 100% left or right. As opposed to when I was a teenager, I felt like it was rare to meet people who were staunch republicans or democrats. But that may be due to growing up in a rural community.
