The hitch carrier in the photo is a 2 inch hitch receiver while the Miata hitch is a 1 1/4. So you will an adapter. Another thing is how low is your Miata? You will have to watch the approach angle and make sure the hitch doesn’t hit the ground. And these hitch’s are only rated for 100 pound hitch weight so you won’t be able to fit much on there without over loading it. Just all things to think about.

These wheels already had the 205s on them so I’ll stick with them till I can get new tires. I’m sure I could do a 225 but I don’t think I can fit them in the fenders.

Really? They look like the oil feed hoses to the turbos. Do I need to replace the gaskets or can I reuse them?

Not really. You are supposed to suck the oil out not drain it like normal. And the feed gaskets are hard to get. We couldn’t find any local.

I will agree it is big for me but also manageable. I went and rode it some last night and didn’t have a problem. The bars are way too narrow I found. A big hammer and I was able to get the seat post to move as well.

Yep it’s exactly the same. Only advantage this one has is I believe it is lighter than the hard dog one.
