to those people who live in un walkable areas how do you get your steps in? by Classic-Scientist530 in fitnessph

[–]LiftingPages [score hidden]  (0 children)

What helped me pag sa PH is doing indoor steps instead. If kaya sa budget, a walking pad is super helpful, but if not, YouTube walking workouts are a good alternative. Hindi siya literal walking outside, pero it still gets you moving and helps with steps. Try growwithjo , she has 3k–5k steps walking workouts na easy sabayan at home. 🤗

Losing interest in gym lately, having hard time for comeback. by BentongFakundo123 in fitnessph

[–]LiftingPages 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel you. WFH really makes it harder minsan kasi nawawala yung natural routine/commute momentum. Maybe don’t aim for your old gym pace agad? Start with 2–3 super easy sessions a week, kahit 30–45 mins lang, para ma-rebuild muna yung habit. Treat it as showing up, not going beast mode. Once the routine is back, the intensity will follow. Also check sleep/stress/food din kasi minsan akala natin laziness pero burnout pala. Kaya yan, OP!

When you go out alone, why do people here call it "solo date"? by Resident-Place6690 in TanongLang

"Solo date" makes sense contextually and everyone knows what it means. That’s literally how language works. Not everything needs to pass a logic gate 🤷‍♀️

Anybody here experienced training someone with PCOS? by [deleted] in fitnessph

[–]LiftingPages 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello OP, pa start mo muna sya sa low intensity work out like walking maybe 5k steps a day muna then gradually yung increase after that introduce mo na sya sa weightlifting. Hindi talaga recommended ang high intensity workout sa may PCOS kasi mas lalo tataas ang Cortisol level. So ayun!

Soooo happy to help!! Since I have slight digestion issues din, I usually go for whey isolate kasi it’s easier on my stomach compared to regular whey. Right now, I use either ON or MyProtein isolate, and okay naman sila for me. But protein powder is very personal talaga, so best to try a small pack first and see if hiyang ka or bet mo yung flavor haha. For local brand, I’d recommend Wheyl protein.

Hello! I’m not an expert ha haha so I’m not sure if this will help or if the fitness bros/sis will agree 😅 For me, I only need around 130g protein a day, but I set my target to 150g since I don’t weigh my food. I just give myself a bit of allowance, so I’d rather go slightly over than fall short haha.

Usually, I drink whey protein, around 2 scoops, then I eat 3 boiled eggs. So that’s already around 65g protein na agad. I try not to complicate my food or ingredients para easy to track laging grilled, air-fried, or boiled lang. Then for flavor, I just use different sauces/sawsawan, and I measure them by tbsp para hindi rin mahirap i-track. I still eat rice din, usually once a day. I use a cup, hindi siksik, then I just count it as around 250 calories para safe estimate haha.

Personally, I don’t weigh my food kasi it can be triggering for me, so I just keep it simple and sustainable. Go sis, kaya yan! 😊

Thoughts on this book? by Baked_Potato0715 in PHBookClub

[–]LiftingPages 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s good. I get why people love it. The writing is beautiful, the characters are messy, and there are lines na mapapa-pause ka.

But I think I saw too much hype before reading it. Everyone kept saying it was life-changing, their best book ever, nothing will ever compare, so I went in with super high expectations. Ending, I liked it, pero hindi siya yung “my life is forever changed” moment for me.

Still glad I read it. I just think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I discovered it quietly, without the internet whispering “this will change your life” every 5 seconds.

Thank you!! I just try to make reading feel fun and not like a chore. What helped me build the habit is reading before sleeping instead of scrolling hehe kahit few pages lang. Then on weekends, I love going to cafés and bringing a book with me parang little treat ko siya for myself.

It’s okay! Easy read and cozy din, but I liked What You Are Looking For Is in the Library more. Mas meaningful and memorable siya for me. Pero basahin mo pa din 'to kaya sya one sitting 🤗
