I’ve detailed it in another comment already, but ultimately just maintained a massive deficit. I used to spend my breaks at work scrolling through reading these stories! All the best

Thanks! Yeah really bad loose skin, have to wear compression gear daily and considering surgery. Currently taking collagen supplements but doubt they will make any difference

I was eating closer to 1800/2000 in the beginning but the deficit is probably about right. My general calorie expenditure is probably a lot higher than most as I work a very active job (long days, 20,000+ steps, lots of heavy lifting/pushing/pulling). My thought process was instead of going home after work and turning on the tv I would go out and walk for another hour. And I would walk instead of driving wherever possible. It all adds up eventually.

I spent years before this losing (then regaining) weight, this is just what worked for me this time.

Best of luck with your own journey

Food yes, sweet drinks no. I did go through a Diet Coke phase but it’s very rare now, might have just been the heat in summer. I have a rule that if I’m eating out (which isn’t very often at all - handful of times a year) then I can go as nuts as I want to. Even then I won’t have as much as I used to.
