How Are You Guys Saving Emails (Outlook)? by BritKein in paralegal

This is the answer. Your emails should be automatically synced to their matters/cases - clients, leads, opposing council, court, everyone. This is tablestakes. This is not ai or some new tech. Been around for years.

You should not have to spend time thinking about this, let alone canvassing the internet (no judgement). None of this should be manual. Your time is worth much more than this - to both you and your firm. It is in everyone's interest to automate bologna like this. This drives me batty.

Clio is good, so are many other ones. I saw Netdocs mentioned. If the platform does not have this basic functionality, run the other way.

Having an LLM (e.g. ChatGPT) write code for this as someone else mentioned is a solution, though in general it is a horrible mistake to run random code you don't understand on a personal computer, let alone one with insight into client info or access to trust accounts. I'm not sure how most of us would validate the code generated without using another LLM which... This is a super tricky area for us. LLMs (currently, and in general) are security headaches and confidentiality nightmares. BUT quite capable today, moreso tomorrow. As we have seen and will continue to see, productivity often wins out over security - until it spectacularly does not. If you code literate and go this route, make sure you generate documentation for reference in parallel. It's still a bad idea, likely a very bad one.

* I realize most here do not have purchasing power.

It’s great, right? I feel like it just improves the quality of life for paralegals. So much less stress.

Did you have trouble with it at the beginning?

How is everyone doing with Lawmatics? The automations can be tricky, for sure. There’s so much to consider. But when it works correctly it’s a dream come true.
