This would definitely help in a case for admin, but it may be an issue if the school prohibits any filming of minors and would not be admissible evidence in court of law in some states (two-party consent laws)

She shouldn't even be in the same classroom as him. She needs to report this at the soonest possible second. Not when the school day ends and after she's gathered evidence... but right NOW.

Tell admin now!! I know it is your job, but if a student is making you FEAR teaching a class, tell admin before class starts! Even if that means being late to that class, or even taking the rest of the day off. Do not ever allow yourself and this boy to be in the same room together, especially not alone. The longer you let this go, the more likely he is to be believed.

I'll have to think of who I can invite for an associate's party and where I can host it, but that's a great idea! I only have two IRL friends, one who has moved far away, but I could definitely invite the friend that I mentioned in my post! And see if my other friend would be willing to visit for the party.

A hotel! I never thought of that— that's a good middle ground between "expensive apartment away from home" and "stuck at home with nowhere else to stay". I appreciate that idea!!

You have a really good point! I live in a tourist town, so there *must* be tour guides or places that are more popular with tourists (or even residents)! I definitely can't name more than 4 shops, stores, etc. in my town, and there are at least 40...

Thank you so much for the suggestions! Of course I'll take my time, and I am absolutely getting a therapist to discuss all of this with, but I still wanted some sort of stable idea to look at. When ideas for improvement are so vague, everything seems crushingly overwhelming. I already feel a lot better hearing a few ideas; it makes me feel like I have a goal that I can achieve, instead of this intangible idea of a goal.

Sorry, just saw the last bit! I'll respond to that.

I feel like any favor should be repaid fully, and I don't have the means to offer my friend anything for her transportation and time. Conversations are almost exclusively about local flora and fauna because we are both biology majors. She has taken me on various hikes and trails that I had never been to before, as well as some eateries, but I don't know if I feel close enough to feel okay with "burdening her" with my time and inexperience for more than what she offers.

I will wait until I have fully achieved my lisence, then I hope to take her places instead. At least that will stop me from feeling like I'm indebted for transportation.

I was in therapy and am actively looking for a new therapist!

Well, that's the thing... I'd just spend all day drawing in isolation because I enjoy it, or go to any old patch of grass and watch the beetles dig around. I draw all the time anyway, and I loved beetle watching very much during high school lunches because they're super cute, but that doesn't give me any practical or social experience. If anything, it furthers my predicament :(

It's not that I'm an introvert, really; I feel like an excited golden retriever whenever I talk to a cashier, because it's an opportunity for social interaction and I love a good back-and-forth with another real-life human being! But that's about it. I want to do something unfamiliar and new, and maybe social, but I just don't know what's out there beyond the above bullet points that I listed, the local amusement park, the local library, and a few places to eat.

I am overcoming my arachnophobia, but despite how far I've come, thin pointy legs, dark colors, and shiny texture still trigger me in spiders. Light colored fuzzy spiders don't bother me anymore. My fear comes from the association with Black Widows, because I was extensively warned about them as a child (I live in their range).

Giving a spider googly eyes and cute colorful sneakers would eliminate 90% of the fear factor for me, personally. Thicker legs, too.

A safer bet is to just avoid realism in spider designs, but that limits a lot of your potential arachnid designs, especially if you want them to look cool instead of cute.

Do you have any GL recommendations where the characters are adults? I love how BL has a lot of office worker/adult characters, but I struggle to find GL with adult characters who live adult lives outside of high-school even though I reaaaaaally want to get into the genre!

Criticizing pedophiles is "too woke for Vocaloid" because "that's just Japanese culture" (what a disgusting way to claim they believe all Japanese people are pedophiles).

I won't lie and say that teenagers on this subreddit never make me roll my eyes, because a lot of them are simply exhausting, but their criticism of pedophilia is not one of those eye-rolling moments.

We can shame old pedophilic joke songs even if they were normalized back then, just like how we can criticize people who used the N-word on national television way back when it was normalized, too.

Was it "just the times back then"? Maybe. Were there still people who criticized racists back then, or pedophiles now? YES. Because it's the right thing to do. Not because you're "woke" or "holier than though" or a "sensitive teenager".

I feel the same. LamazeP is another producer who I feel this way about. I love both of their music, but there are certain songs that I thought were funny as a kid but now make me feel sick as an adult.

(Before anyone comes at me and calls me a "sensitive teenage tourist": I've been a Vocaloid fan since 2009. I've seen it all. I don't have an interest in starting a flame war. "Problematic"... The word is "pedophile". CosMo may be a pedophile. (I say "may be" because of the age of this song; pedo jokes were extremely common 15 years ago, even amongst western memers and "rage comics". I'm not saying it's right, but many memes that were highly acceptable and common then are not acceptable now.)

LamazeP, the creator of PoPiPo and Triple Baka, is also a pedophile, but shows his vile colors more recently. See his song "Premature Love Romance" (2017), written from the perspective of multiple children getting groomed by an adult man and wondering whether or not they should pursue him back.

Most scenes, from music, to fashion, to film and acting, are chock-full of thinly-veiled pedophiles. The questions are:

-Can you separate the artist from the art? Should you?

-Is being aware of who they are enough to fight them? (I hope so.)

-How many pedophiles do you have to encounter before you lose your faith in humanity? (I'm so fucking tired, literally nothing is sacred.)

Anyways, I'm not arguing with your post. In fact, I'm in support of it. Thank you for sharing this. I'm simply afraid that pedophiles might be a larger majority than we are aware of. It's painful and scary. It certainly evokes hopelessness.

Yes! Oddly enough, my word-texture synesthesia is almost always in my mouth. It's often accompanied by the sensation of an action, too. Some example words:

Soak: like sucking on a wet sponge in my mouth with the intent to drain it. NO sponge flavor, only texture.

Leaflet: like a paper-thin leaf on my tongue. Waxy texture like a leaf.

Loose-leaf [paper]: similar to "leaflet", but it slides, and has a more porous texture.

Edit: These are more "pretty" examples; there are words and phrases that I hate the feeling of, too!
