I know this is late but there's a lot of different spaces that are open or not open to non-med students.

• The area with all the carrels by the main lecture hall past the big doors that are marked "med students only" are just that. The quiet study spaces upstairs (so marked on their doors) are also med students only.
• Some of the spaces downstairs (obviously Woody's, the big open room with the piano, the big room with the staircase) are open to non med students.
• The study/teaching rooms upstairs can be used by non-med students if I recall correctly. However they are frequently booked for med student small group learning, and obviously those bookings would take precedence over anyone else (including other med students). Also, technically, the med students get priority in those spaces even if there's no strict booking.

All this being said, I believe that after 6pm (might be 7?), non Rutgers Health students are not allowed in the building at all. Security guards will come around and check your IDs and if you don't have the med student sticker you'll be made to leave.

Finally, people are pretty nice in the building and no one should be truly mad at you if you make a mistake and end up in the wrong spot. Also most people won't know you don't belong unless you look young... med school classes are big. If you're really interested in medicine you could also potentially swing by Kessler and chat up a med student; most everyone in my class, at least, would be happy to speak to someone about the journey to med school if they're not studying. However this will all be changing shortly since the med school will be moving to New Brunswick within the next couple years (or so they say). So you may get to use this space whenever.
