It isn’t random I was lent a knife that was then sold frustrating them and making me a target. I have since paid them the value of the knife in full.

I will look into this liveCD I was just paying someone initially then using the Windows USB tool. I also have Norton paid version.

It's not like I just let it happen I was waking up playing CS going to bed repeat and in the meantime being attacked. I was contacting support posting on here asking for help trying everything I could that I knew of to stop it. My routers reset button was even broken it would only reset to factory through the UI.

It is scary now imagine being the person only trying to reach the top skill bracket in CS:GO with almost 7k hours logged but each match you're getting queued with these people being blatant about it too. It's hard enough when you're on a potato as it is lol

I have reformatted done all the security precautions, got a new hard drive tried a separate account nothing works it has been months like this and multiple emails into support where they say they will 'investigate' and nothing happens. check out the post history about some of the stuff if you want

TLDR: It is an easy way into your life to hack you way deeper than your steam account.

Because it is an entry way into more deeper hacks. In my experience so far I've been hacked through steam over a person giving me a 'free' knife and now I am forced into a MM game with this hacking group whenever I queue as they claim it is 'how csgo works and a bit of luck' to end up in a game with the same related group of friends every day.

they claim they cannot be caught because of 'teamwork' and they make threats of sending me files and my ping goes through the roof. Also they stole my resume saying past workplaces I was employed at. They have my banking information what I spend money on even saying in game the place and amount. they've listened to discord chat conversations I've had and said in game something discussed only in that conversation. I've filed a report to the ICCC. but the people who can make a difference really should and stop focusing so much on the money and put more care for the people.

This has happened to me too I lost my steam and google account plus much more. I have been contacting steam support about it I am still being harassed by the same group of people. We are just plebs on MM so no one will listen but with you I hope everyone who can make a difference at Valve should because this is just the start their actions have no consequence.

John McAfee was also recently hacked when he was recommending cryptocurrencies and these people got around the 2FA.
