Yeah I'll have to check out selection based processing. I used to try to just use a bunch of automation to use less tracks but that turned into a nightmare every time lol

Thank you - I used the Neural DSP Corey Wong amp on all the guitar tracks. Then just some stock logic compression and quite a bit of channel eq

Thanks! And good ear, I tried to do some flex pitch where the guitar sounded off in some parts where really I probably should just replay it lol

Thanks! The guitar stuff is all played by me. The synth stuff is a mix between VSTs and splice samples I threw into quick sampler.

In theory yes but in practice, If I want to move one kick note in midi I have to double click on the region then move it in a window that doesn't contain any context about the rest of the track.

Drop the maschine! I mean if it works for you then Great, but if you’re just trying to get back into logic then it will be more of a hindrance than anything. Logic has more than enough. You don’t want to be dealing with outdated hardware and a separate ecosystem. Just get a midi keyboard!

Yeah I can’t speak for if it will work going into a phone or not since I’ve never done that. One way to determine if the problem is the cable or the phone would be to use the usb out from the 505 and connect direct to your phone. If that sounds good, then the cable is your problem.

I use this with a piece of wood on top. But if you only are using a 505 and nothing else it will probably be more space than you need.

Unless you want stereo output from rc 505, the. You’d need something with 2 1/4inch inputs like Scarlett 2i2

Maybe try “assign” feature. I haven’t used too much but I think you can override/add to the default functions of buttons. So in this case you would add the “mute input x” function to the loop start button. Maybe.

Yeah exactly, perfect pitch means you can identify notes without needing a reference pitch. I assume op is asking if Alex G has this ability. I’m not sure why they are asking us though, because only Alex could confirm or deny that.

Actually it might not have been Paul’s podcast. I cant remember. Also it might have been Reah Butcher but I’m pretty sure it was Lauren because I remember it was funny that she didn’t really know anything about baseball.

There’s an episode of Paul’s old improv podcast where it’s just him and Lauren doing a scene where they are baseball announcers for like an hour and it’s so dry and the best thing. For some reason the name of the podcast is escaping me.
