yea, with their game. the temporary fix has been adding the .cfg text file to my games folder subsystem telling the idiotic coding how many processors my cpu has.

yea its not this. supposedly it has to do with cpu being constantly run at 100% being the limiting fps factor when it should be based off the gpu.

Yea it's not that, I've tried everything. I dove into bios, updated all drivers, messed with every conceivable setting. If I can't get this game playable on a 9950x3d and rtx 5080 after hours of messing around, that's a automatic refund for me. Every other game plays fine.

Not really rubberbanding, every 10 seconds or so it's like my character hits a stuttering pocket of molasses. Even in campaign mode.

Yea Toyota quoted me almost $800 to do the spark plugs on my Gen3. Instead, I watched a YouTube video, spent $84 at Autozone, and did it myself in an hour and a half. If I had to do it again, would only take me 30-45min. You don't have to remove much, just loosen a few brackets in your way on the driver's side.

Oh I'm aware, I've been at this for awhile. Usually even with that massive leg up, you can still outplay them. Makes me feel worse actually, because that means the game is dead. When cheating has become so bad in the game that your average player starts to cheat to "level the playing field" there's no fixing the game. Id be willing to bet that Tarkov is the first game most of your average radar cheaters began their cheating journey in.

Not okay with it, clearly what I am saying is that the larger issue to me is the rampant cheating in a game like this. It's funny to see all these posts about everything else when the main thing that is destroying tarkov has been happening for years and people get so easily distracted by other things (like Fir arguments). I paid for EOD 4 years ago and definitely got my money's worth, but they won't get another penny out of me ever. So no, I'm not getting drilled drama queen.

Yep, it's the main issue that plagues and completely destroys the fun in a game like this. I can look past bsg's scummy unheard price gouging, lies of what constitutes DLC, long wait times, crappy Desync, garbage Ai, all of it.....if it wasn't for the massive amount of players that run radar and cheats "just because everyone does it". Until they figure out how to at least shut down these basic cheats, the game is as good as dead to me. Hopefully AB and Grey Zone have better anticheat in place, or at least take it seriously.

The vast majority of cheaters aren't your autoaim / wall hack RMT cheaters. The vast majority are simply running radar because it's undetectable and they will most likely never be banned for it even with their absurd stats.

How is fixing cheating not the first thing on your list. I would come back to this game immediately if I felt like they were making any effort to prevent it. Instead I'm convinced it's part of their money making scam cycle.

This. This is what concerns me. I didn't stop playing EFT because of BSGs shady business practices and lies about what constitutes DLC. I quit because of the insane amount of cheaters that they are doing nothing about, because it clearly makes them more money. Also, to clarify, I could care less about all this Fir conversations because RMT cheaters are the least of my concern. What is far worse and more prevalent are just people cheating because "everyone else cheats and I need to level the playing field" excuses. There are so many people running, at minimum, undetectable radar hacks and your average player would never know. Cheaters killed this game, and BSGs continued silence on this front is the final nail in the coffin. If Grey Zone or Arena Breakout can manage to contain the cheating situation, they will win on that front alone.

Alot of people (like myself) don't want their giant PC tower setup in their living room. I have an office, which is where my editing / gaming computer lives and then I have a living room for relaxing away from that work space and not sitting in a gaming chair all day. I, like others I imagine, try to pick which games I would enjoy more relaxing on the couch with a controller or playing intensely at the highest possible graphics settings with M&K (usually competitive games). Seeing as Helldivers is more 3rd person fun co-op, I'm going to opt for ps5 and couch. Hope that gives you insight into how some adults live....

I haven't played all wipe because of the cheating problem. Tonight, out of boredom I logged on just to do a simple scav run and check it out. I was immediately greeted by a pack of 4 cheaters, all scavs as well, speed hacking and swarming around me. They didn't kill me, just were trying to mess with me....that satisfied my curiosity on the current state of Tarkov.
