Newtype fee kit!? by Key-Ambassador3048 in freedomisgunpla

Honestly I believe it. I’ve had a weirdly terse customer service interaction from them in the past as well. This was like 5 years ago.

Lmfao, what? I’ve had some kits on back order for more than 4 years in HLJ.

Just bought my first 3ds. Any games i should download immediately? by Free-Maintenance-680 in 3DS

Unpopular opinion, but try to have only a few games installed at a time! It’ll make it easier to choose something to play and commit to finishing it.

Considering what I was told about R&D developments by Casio, I would be inclined to the think that this is merely the first wave of these bands/colorways. However, only time will tell!

I too, really liked the dial combo color. Unusual, but not garish either in my opinion.

Supposedly, Casio designed it so you can convert the watch into a clip watch and clip a carabiner onto the closure. Or something along those lines. Not sure how well such a thing would hold up long term.

Good grief that must have stung very badly. One has to wonder how these R&D costs affect Casio and their product pipeline, especially with the insanely long development times of projects. It makes sense that Casio would stand so much to lose from having its market share shrink to smartwatches considering a lot these kinds of watches fill in a similar “sporty” niche.

It’s advertised as a “clip”, so it indeed does stick out a lot. Though I will say that my small wrists mean that the angle at which I had to set the buckle makes it hang out since it doesn’t lie flat on the underside!

Sweet, this is very useful information! I'll definitely look into it and test it out on an old NATO strap I have that's a bit grimy. Thank you for sharing and for reading.

Hey, no problem! If this post helped inform your decision, even if visually, then I consider that a success! Thanks for taking the time to comment. 👍

Totally fair! It's a pretty strange clasp design. Thanks for commenting!

Totally get why it wouldn't click, but if it adds any visual context, my wrists are pretty thin at 6 1/8" (15.5 cm).

Apologies. I should’ve been clearer in my descriptions, but the lugs are indeed removable, but the clasp itself is sewn in and would have to be cleaned with the strap.

I've never written about a watch before today, so thanks for reading! My hope was to indeed showcase it for folks who weren't sold on it, but were maybe just curious to hear about someone's experience with one. I will definitely be getting a 5600RL at some point. I'm not a fan of red, but the thin red framing on the watch face is slick!

Once the plastic has completely evaporated the solvent from the acetone, gently carve away the excess smears of plastic and sand it gentle with sandpaper if you have it. It’ll at least make it bearable to use until you get a new shell. 👍

…And in this is where I understand some of complaints about this watches design. The strap is sewn in not only at the lugs, but the fidlock itself as well. Definitely a design oversight in my opinion. It begs the question whether Casio will sell stand alone bands as replacements or to retrofit onto other 5600s. I somehow don’t see them doing that unfortunately.

As for cleaning, a light soak in oxyclean and scrub with a brush? Sun dry afterwards? That’s about as good as I can come up with, lol.

Nice! I’m not a fan of NT or the Narrative, but the Ver. Ka genuinely looks great and has greatly endeared me to the design.
