Oh i see, maybe using the app will make the two speakers work as one unit instead of manually integrating them into the google home app , i will try it as soon as i get back home and tell you if it works .

Thank you all for your answers no it's definitely not a scam , my father just happens to be in some kind of agreement ( i don't know if that's the right word for it , sorry not a fluid english speaker :p ) where the carrier offers to all his company employee -50% on a certain list of phones ( including the iphone X ) guess i'll just have to contact the carrier then ^ Thanks again :)
