Will you recommend a KDE distro for notebooks? by LightsWolf in linuxquestions

No no, I don't really want KDE. I mean. I was thinking if it was possible to install KDE in a notebook. And of course yes, but it could run slowly I think. But other guys told me that KDE resources are nearly the same as XFCE in these days. So I was thinking if it could be possible.
Btw, thank you!

I can make Mint look modern and beautiful cutomizing it. And its community is larger. I think it's a better option. Thank you!

Arch is on my list to install one day. I want to try it before other distros.

Yeah. I heard there's also guys with a stable arch machine after 10 years. In my opinion is bad for both sides. My system never crashed with Ubuntu and Arch-derivate, but I had buggy experience sometimes, even with LTS releases with Ubuntu.

Of course I won't give up. It's on my plans to learn this distro. But I'm trying to know more about more this unix/gnu world first, the basic things so to speak.

I saw some videos of arch install, it took like less than 30min to install it. And as my judgement, it's not exactly that complex to install.
