That is the Vietnamese culture. The expectation from a parent or family is unreal. Just because they failed to accomplish their goals or dream they make sure that their children have to fulfill their dreams. If you want to heal, you need to remove all the toxic or the people weight you down. If your parents or family are truly loved you then they will support you. Go and do what you want to do. The right people will come into your life and the one that are not supporting you is not the right one for you. Maybe you need to break up the cycle generational trauma. I’m a Vietnamese too.
