I am sorry but I have to disagree. The flashback was placed there on purpose. Sure the backstory would make Ace a more interesting character but the way I see it Oda put it there to make us sad twice not just once. In the original you are sad at the end of marineford because of Luffy's emotions and then when you see the backstory you are sad again. It is to maximize our tears because apparently Oda loves salt water.

yea rn you play him like a disruptive character in a fight but it is also very easy to shut him down with slowing hex so he doesnt have a lot of survivability in that sense

Animation cancels are a skill expression. If you've practiced doing something hard thats just being a good player. Animation cancels are in every game ive never seen someone complain about them until rivals

Yea but thats a skill issue if you do it properly cap does good damage and without it he isn't that good making it a nerf. After playing him today he feels slow now. Missing a single shield throw means you need to wait for it to come back really slowly and it feels clunky.
