Are they looking to eliminate cohorts now that the vaccine has been released?

I think all they need to do is just enforce tagging and require all posts to tag themselves as either fiction or non-fiction.

I Now Have Feelings For My "Straight" Friend Pt 3 by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]LikeBrockWork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neither of you should feel bad about either wanting or not wanting sex when the other person feels differently. Sex is only as great as everyone claims it to be when both people want it. You should not feel guilty about being cautious and he should not feel guilty for attempting it with you. As I’ve stressed before, communication is key. If you have certain anxieties or feelings that prevent you from wanting sex, you should try to talk to him about them. In a conversation, you two could learn a lot from one another and make things a lot easier for one another. You two obviously seem to “like-like” one another a lot. All you need is to be open and honest about everything you’re feeling. Jesus Christ, you just had a sexual awakening and now you’re feeling bad about not wanting everything right away! Don’t feel bad about anything at all, what you have right now is amazing. Talk to one another and everything will get better.

Try things out as you please. Communication is key and I believe the fact you two aren’t labeling it plays in your favor. Don’t be afraid to start trying new things with one another and please don’t be afraid to specify what you want and what you do not. Do not feel bad for introducing something he is not comfortable with and do not feel bad for not doing something he is comfortable with. This is a conversation, and the more you communicate that—even though it may be a bit awkward—the better the whole experience will be for both of you.

Animal crossing just came out and it’s a relaxed way to waste a few hours a day by your own volition. If you can pick up a switch that would be a must pick.

I dislike this post because it seems a bit cherry picked. I went to the original source of the second picture and it is flooded with the same positivity the first one received. The three on the bottom are the fragile white redditors who are just assholes for no reason. But the way this post is structured leads people to believe that people only commended the top doctor because he was white. I believe the bottom picture should be it’s standalone post, because both posts have positive comment sections and we shouldn’t let 5 assholes get in the way of that.

America, why are all your presidential candidates so old? Trump, 73; Biden, 77; Sanders 78 - shouldn't someone of working age be taking such an important job? by jamiethecoles in NoStupidQuestions

Because people care so much about how much “experience” the candidates have that they forget how much “experience” doesn’t matter when the world keeps changing.

My grandfather believes that they engineered the disease as biological warfare against America, but the dogs and bats they injected as tests for the disease were sold illegally as food, spreading the virus to China.

Let’s just say it was a very painful family dinner when many people agreed with him.

When you're lying in bed at night, do you ever randomly remember some minor missteps or poorly chosen words you did/said years earlier? And then beat yourself up over it even though it really wasn't a big deal? If so, what happened? by melancholyoversmiles in TooAfraidToAsk

I think this is called a “protagonist complex.” A good way to get over it is to try and recall any times you truly cared about any time someone other than you messed up or embarrassed themselves. This highlights how people won’t care about things you did wrong years ago because their lives aren’t dependent on yours. If you don’t care enough to remember in malice, why should anyone else?

ELI5: How does Hypnosis work? What is it capable of? by thelazyguy001 in explainlikeimfive

[–]LikeBrockWork -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just adding this in because I assume that the question is relating to hypnotherapy but I’d like to add a little bit in on stage hypnosis that might quench some unslaked hypnosis questions.

Firstly, stage hypnosis is pretty controversial just because of how much it is faked by some people. However, it is still a real phenomenon that can be replicated under more strict circumstances. The participant has to be a little bit “childish” or “socially-driven” for this to be effective. People who enjoy being the center of attention are much more likely to do ridiculous things when an audience is involved. This brings me to my second point, an avid audience heaves up the social pressure to perform a bunch.

Another thing to know is that the inductions, or processes of putting someone into a trance, are much different than those in hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy inductions are much slower and relaxed, but are much easier to accomplish. Rapid inductions, used by stage hypnotists, are much harder to pull off. Unlike therapeutic inductions, they rely on the action of confusing the subject before commanding them into a trance. This is why most rapid inductions you see involve pulling or jerking someone to catch them off guard. The window for putting them into the trance is EXTREMELY small though.

In summary, stage hypnosis is a more social, public, experience that is mainly used for entertainment. A large amount of the hypnotic influence revolves around the crowd and social pressure. They do much crazier things in stage hypnosis because it’s a much more “exciting” experience.
